So I have been looking at some peoples profile pictures on here and another 18+ website and I have noticed this a lot. Girls 18+25 taking pictures of themselves in dirty bedrooms. I know they are trying to show how cute they are, how much they love American Idiot, or just how much progress they made but I get really grossed out. Instead of focusing on the person I'm looking at the marked underwear on the bed or the crusted plates of food. Don't some people have pride in themselves anymore? I would die of shame if I took a picture in a dirty house and posted it online. Is it too hard to just take the picture in the bathroom?

I woulddie of shame if I spent my time staring at peoples profile pictures on 18+ websites.

NOT PORN I get bored and go to tumblr, I am an awful person. The pictures are just on my dash as well as nail tips,

I like a dirty bedroom in the pics because I think if its a dirty bedroom, they must like to be dirty in the bedroom. Makes sense, right? :)

Irony is not something that the internet understands.

Unless accusing someone of being judgmental is somehow not judgmental in and of itself.

Especially when it has some snarky-*kitten* comment tied to it.

I'm going to start looking at these pictures better! I never notice anything behind people, I normally don't look at the photos long enough.

Why the hell are some people on here so mean? All the girl said was how come people post pics with a super gross bedroom in the background? Was it really necessary to go on a full fledged attack? She wasn't speaking of anyone specifically so why do you guys feel the need to go on a freakin witch hunt? To be completely honest, I TOTALLY agree with her! I've seen the pics where the room in the background looks like a hurricane went through and I'm just like, really? You want people to know you live like that? lol

I always used to think the same thing! But since I started working out 5+ hours a day I come home so exhausted that my normally very clean home is starting to get a little neglected. DON'T GET ME WRONG!!! I still manage to keep up on the day to day stuff like dishes, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, changing bed sheets, taking out trash, and doing laundry. But I still have summer clothes that need to be stored away because I have no space for them, and I haven't dusted or washed windows since the Olympics. I admit it. By the way, I have lights up in my room too. They're from Pier 1 and I luv them. We can't be the only two people who put lights up. I have a set for every holiday. But don't tell anyone that. Sounds kinda lame. But my 2 year old nephew thinks they're great.

I dont believe the OP was saying if you have a few water marks on your bathroom mirror.. or hell, even some toothpaste..

    or dishes in the kitchen..

    or clothes laying around..

that its an issue, i think she was mearly saying that people post pictures of themselves in FILTH. Things that would get CPS called on them if the wrong person saw it. I think she was just posting her opinion that if you are going to post pics about WHATEVER going on in your life.. look at the damn background before you post it. Chances are, there is something you dont want showing!

Im well known for posting pics with my bra strung over the back of the couch.. which wasnt a big deal, until someone noticed it one day and laughed about it.. my bras are huge. lol... still not really a BIG deal, but it was a little embarassing at the time. Just made me pay more attention to what was in the background of my pics!

Now... No need to go after OP about it. She has an opinion, nothing at all wrong with it. Agreee or disagree, you dont have to get hateful.

Edited to day.. see my mirror? I have kids. I clean my mirror twice a week & it still happens. *shrugs*

I agree with the Orignial post. I have noticed that too and it really irks me. I know someone on facebook that took a pic of herself and someone else getting ready to go out! Her room was a mess. I mean *kitten* was everywhere. I was sitting her thinking, do they know everyone on their friends list can see just how trifling they are. Somebody called her out on it in a nice way by saying, "I see you tear your room up trying to get ready to go out too?" I know they were being sarcastic, but she just didn't get it!!

I always make sure before I take a picture of anything thing or anyone in my house that I know is going online, I make sure it looks clean in the background before hand. I'm a neat person anyway, but my little kids aren't so I have to make sure things are perfect before snapping pictures and posting them for people to see.

People like that are just trifling and ratchet!!

There was a fairly hot chick that posted pics of herself in hardly any clothing on MFP... You could see a giant unflushed duece in the reflection of her toilet in her mirror.

You wouldn't think anything that nasty could come out of someone that hot.

Ha ha, eww. Why would anyone let that sit around in the first place?

Potentially that was the subject for a pic going on another 18+ website?
