    Drinking water is good. Forcing water in short periods of time is stupid,..... unless you're with the CIA and questioning a terrorist.

    Actually it is very healthy to drink water. For a 200lbs male/female you are required to drink atleast 100oz of water a day just to stay hydrated. Now if you're 120lbs soaking wet then thats a different story.

    I am editing my posting, it sounded too mean and did not represent well what I wanted to say. I think there is validity in being careful of the amount of water you consume. Also, there is not any science behind needing excessive amounts of water (even 8 glasses a day is not needed). We need to be cautious to not pursue a diversion of some sort (like doing a water overload diet) instead of attacking the real problem of eating too many calories and not enough exercise and making a long-term life style change.

    Well, I drank 100 oz over the course of the day and I'm still ticking!! In fact, I usually drink around 80 oz per day and feel great and still manage to not kill myself! :laugh:

    I think what maybe created the misconception that we were torturing ourselves with water is the name "Water Challenge". It did not mean that I was sitting at my desk chugging water from a milk carton- now that, would be "stupid" as you put it.

    some one sounds negative! Let them drink the 100 oz, I do it almost everyday & I am well & good!! rock on to the rest of you's!!!
  • I'm a day late... but I'll do it with ya- I try to drink minimum of 100 oz a day.
