Never had to face this dilemna. I would say, don't believe every pop-up you see on the Internet. All those sites you may have posted a picture on? Well, they can be used for nefarious purposes sometimes.

its legit...I actually checked the site bamm 7 very interesting photos and an intriguing personal thingy about herself ...

^I wouldn't tell her that. Just say it was on a popup and you know that pics can be used without permission but you're curious. That would give her a chance to back out if she doesn't want to talk about it.

My best friend was actually a pretty well known "adult actress" for a while. She's got her master's in biochemistry. She's one of the smartest, funniest, best people I have ever known.

You can tell her you know. Chances are it's tough for your friend to live a life people don't know about.

Other than that, no judgment. Leave people's choices up to them.

How does this affect your life?....is she a best friend? Probably not, or you would have known this already. I just don't see any way to bring this up in casual conversation that would end well.

Agreed. Someone (not necessarily a friend) may have done it on her behalf. I've done some mean **** to girls I've hated.

    Nothing.

If you like them as a person it shouldn't matter what their job is. Just treat them as you always have and try, for the love of all that's good, TRY not to make jokes about their profession.

I would get a "For Sale" sign, and tape it to their bum.

If you are comfortable with getting cooking tips from a chef friend or business advice for a manager friend........why not get some professional in their expertise?

I would be more concerned if it was the girlfriend of one of your really good friends.

I'd tell her about the popup and show her if I could. It might be something she isn't aware of and deserves to know.

I'm willing to be that most escort companies don't use their actual employees in the ads.. Chances are much more likely that she did some modeling or something and the escort company's marking guy swiped it from google.

But go ahead and judge on.

Oh, I didn't bother to read the whole thread to see this. My comment still stands though - go ahead and judge, because you want validation for doing it anyway.

Personally, if it were my friend, I'd applaud her for making ends meet in a tough economic climate.

If they're your friend, why does it matter?

This. I have nothing against escorts. They aren't hurting anyone. And they are getting paid to do something fun!

There’s a great saying in Spanish, “Dime quienes son tus amigos y te diré quien eres,” and it translates into, “Tell me who your friends are and I’ll tell you who you are.” When I was younger I would roll my eyes at my mom. Now that I am older and a mom I understand the saying better.

Give your friend the benefit of the doubt. Like others said photos have been known to be used without a person's consent on the www.

If there is any truth on the matter then you have to weigh the outcome. We are not perfect, nor do we expect our friends to be but there are certain things and/or behavior we find acceptable and unacceptable within our social circles.
