    I hate long (male) shorts

    I hate that the average non-running pair of shorts covers a guy's knee caps. I am proud of my legs and like to see at least the bottom of my quads when I'm standing yet shorts these days are nearly capri pants. Because of this trend, the only shorts I buy are runner shorts that are about 3 to 4 inches above the patella.

    That's my brief rant for the day.

      Truth! I wear shorts here to work, or even to go out at night to a cafe/bar. Most people do the same unless they are in some kind of stuffy corporate/legal environment. And with that, I prefer long shorts because they look a lot less like the mailmans as someone mentioned earlier.

      Was looking through my high school year book the other day. The shorts they wore back then in the early 80's are just nasty. Everything all pulled up and too tight it looks painful. Not to mention the legs lol... makes the legs look like sticks lol HOw the heck did they run in those things? Oh and top it off with the white knee socks with the stripes in a color that matches the shorts lol

      I use whatever is most comfortable, but that happens to be smaller pair of shorts that have compression shorts built in. dont care about anyone else..If you dont mind that, there's a brand here called 'Matrix' that seems to work for me. You may be able to grab a pair online from a canadian store.
