How many calories do YOU burn during a 'good' workout?

I try for 10 calories per minute. So a 30 minute workout would be 300, or a 60 minute workout would be 600.0

I can kill 1000+ calories on a serious bootcamp session - burpees anyone?!?! lol
Mainly I burn 500+ /hr0 -
Depends largely on my activity.
This morning, for example, I had a great half hour on my rowing machine (6,530m.....just shy of my PB)and burned just under 400 cal according to my HRM. On a long Sunday run it can be over 1,500 cal depending on where I am on my training schedule. Just for laughs last week I wore my HRM during my indoor soccer game - 902 cal in an hour.0 -
~580 (warm-up bike, arm bike, elliptical), plus whatever calories I burn in sit-ups and strength exercises.0

No idea. I diet until its done.0

Ah...one of the downfalls of being only 5 feet tall and approximately 106 lbs...energy/calories burned from workouts is smaller than what other people do. A "good" workout for me is about 250 (possibly 300) calories in about 50 minutes. I try to do this about twice a week, but on days I have classes I usually only have time for about 30 minutes at hopefully 200ish calories.0

Depends on how long I workout. No less than 200, but I like to do at least 300-400. Those of you that are burning 1000 calories in a workout, how long are you working out? I can do that on a 2hr bike ride, but that isn't really working that hard to me.0

About 380 for a 40min workout on my cardio & abs days, much fewer on my strength days. (for comparison, I'm 5'2" and 120lbs +/-3)0
-
I'm happy if I can burn 200 to 250. For me that's a great workout!0
-
500-600 is usually mine as well, although this morning I burned 677 for a 60 minute Spin class and a 20 min. core workout!0
-
On average I'd guess around 350-500.
Have added more cardio in as of this week so am aiming for 400-600 average when doing my normal strength training with time skipping or sprints thrown in too.0 -
550-850 depending on the length and intensity of the workout.0

SV17GT: Cutest picture ever. Are those your dogs?!!
I feel good if I burn 300-400, that takes me about an hour at my current fitness level.0 -
Probably about 1200 calories with 55 minute of work between elliptical and CORE training....with HRM0
-
this is my first day on here also first diet /workout day. so good to know what to expect i think 300 cal for 30 min work out will be my goal for now.0

I don't have an HRM, was never sure if it would be worth the investment ... probably would, considering I'm a numbers junkie. I'm not sure my actual calorie burn... I'm just here to say, if you want to burn more calories in a shorter amount of time - intervals, intervals, intervals!
If you're plodding along or reading a magazine on the stationary bike, you're not making the most of your time. Bump up the intensity as hard as you can go for some duration (1 minute, say), then rest (30s / 1 minute), lather rinse repeat. You'll torch your calories, muscles will be sore, more work done in less time
I never trust the gym machine numbers, or MFP, so whatever it gives me, I round down quite a bit...
Great job, everyone. Have a wonderful Friday. :flowerforyou:0 -
I am working two jobs right now so I only work out 3 days a week.
I run for 80-85 minutes and usually burn around 1300 calories.0 -
I feel really good about 400-450 by my HRM.0
-
About 200. Now, how many calories I continue to burn AFTER a 'good' workout is another story...0

About 500-600.0
