    Is it the gluten that seems to affect your lupus the most?

    Just curious what you attribute the improvement to...

    Is it more about the "not eating junk" or more about the "not eating gluten specifically" in your experience?

    It is the anti-inflammatory property of the diet as a whole. Gluten is a big one, as well as casein. Soy as well. Gluten and dairy will both give me different reactions and I am able to tell which is which. Gluten makes me feel arthritic a few days after eating and gives me intestinal problems the same day and day after. Dairy gives me GI upset and tiny itchy blisters. I haven't tried sheep cheese for a reaction but I hear it is casein free.
