I gained this week, but it's TOM. I just need to drink more water and exercise. OK, and watch what I eat and how much I eat.
Kristin - The fenugreek really works. I used it to help boost my milk production at the beginning with my son. I didn't need it for quite as long with my daughter. Between that and pumping, my body just started producing tons and I ended up with a few bottles that needed to be poured out because they sat in the refrigerator too long.

Rhiannon- I didn't want to seem selfish BUT IM SO GLAD YOU ARE BACK. We missed you!!!! YAY!!! Don't worry about the bread, I know you can gain the control again. Its so weird how when we allow ourselves slack room it MAKES us believe we can't go back to smaller servings. But we both know how to. I had that problem after Christmas bc I had too many goodies in 2009. LOL

Lulabelle- Good job on remembering the sixers and avoiding the Oatmeal pies. LISTEN- we ALL have those days, just take it one situation at a time. The people closest to us can make us sooooo upset or off key that we result to OLD habits, BUT you can do this. One meal at a time, and mistakes are okay as long as you learn from them! Hope youre having a better day now!

About me: I'm (Tammara) a recently graduated dentist who found myself in a bodysuit I wasn't ready to see. After working hard to finish my last year of school, I thought I could avoid going to the gym classes and work on school and still maintain my weight. No, that didn't happen. I went from 200 to 248 in a years time. After graduation, I didn't feel accomplished I felt ashamed of my body and how I let myself go for a dream!!! So I took time off before I started working, to rest and regather myself. I removed 50 lbs since 2008. I have a long way to go until my ultimate goal of 140 BUT I'm working hard everyday to see the end of the tunnel. I won't stop until I reach my goal!!!
About my sis: Tiffani!!!- She is currently in her 3rd year of Med school and constantly busy. However she has always been a fitness role model to me. Standing at barely 5 ft... She will laugh at this! At 13 she bought her first set of taebo tapes and she has kept her weight under control. I appreciated how she cared about her appearance and never settled for being out of shape, just because our family members are prone to it ... so to say! She has run marathons and is the wellness person for her M3 class. I'm proud of her. Though she is struggling to remove some pounds, I'm sure she will make it! Go TIFF!!!!0 -

Down another pound! Yahoo! But until I am down to 195 I am not going to be too excited. I have lost and gained the 195 to 200 over and over and over. Its a broken record. I WILL get over that hump!0 -

Kristin, I remember taking 2 pills, but I can't remember if that was 1 in the am & 1 in the pm or if that was 2 each time. My daughter is turning 6 a week from today, so my memory is a little fuzzy on the details.
I do remember that at the time I was taking them with my son, I couldn't swallow pills, so I was given the advice from the lactation consultants to open the capsules & put them in pumpkin mix (since pumpkin is so good for you even w/ the extra sugar in the mix). One day dh was warming a bottle, tested the temp on his wrist & licked it off without thinking. I asked him how it tasted after he got this odd look on his face, and the told me it tastes like pumpkin! :laugh: You know, to this day my son still absolutely LOVES anything made from pumpkin!0 -

I believe that i am up from last week weigh in. Not enough exercise last week, not enough water, no idea on my calories. hubby was sick and i was taking care of him 24/7 for days. I do literally mean 24/7. he had to be given a pill every hour on the hour - alternating ones. very confusing. he had very severe virtigio and it is still not gone but does not require constant watching.
Bought the EA Active game for Wii. Absolutely love it. i am so sore from the work outs but i can definitely feel a difference. I enjoy that it is constant moving from one exercise to another. I also love that it gives you calories burned. lots of different exercised daily. AI have only done medium and low intensity so far.

I believe that i am up from last week weigh in. Not enough exercise last week, not enough water, no idea on my calories. hubby was sick and i was taking care of him 24/7 for days. I do literally mean 24/7. he had to be given a pill every hour on the hour - alternating ones. very confusing. he had very severe virtigio and it is still not gone but does not require constant watching.
Bought the EA Active game for Wii. Absolutely love it. i am so sore from the work outs but i can definitely feel a difference. I enjoy that it is constant moving from one exercise to another. I also love that it gives you calories burned. lots of different exercised daily. AI have only done medium and low intensity so far.

I have enough time to do a quick update on my life,
Sorry I was absent tfor the last two days, I have been crazy busy, I wasn't feeling the best on sunday, so I didn't run, but i did goof around in the pool, and I played tennis with my family for a little over an hour! My friend stayed the night sunday, and on monday I took her to zumba with me! I didnt go over my cals on sunday after all also!! I think I am finally good on the steps and stuff in zumba! I really like it!!! I did not have time to run on monday, so I plan on going after work today! I will officially be Week 2!!! I can't wait. I am also hoping to do some EA active since I am officially doing my weigh in tomorrow (did not have time this morning)
I am feeling a little funny in the head today, I think it is from lack of sleep... we will see.

HEY everyone! My sister had to REMIND me that today was Tuesday... :sigh: When school is busy I can't even remember my days. lol. So I forgot to weigh in of course... Well, I will weigh in tomorrow and though it's TOM week I will give an honest report. lol Good job to all those who lost, maintained, and are figuring out a way to lose again!

Someone asked earlier: I didn't lose 4lbs in a week, but I started back on my healthy lifestyle journey 2 weeks ago (right in line with when the current challenge started, lucky me!) so I've lost 6.2lbs in the last 2 weeks. Of course, weight that is recently added is usually very quickly and easily removed. May that be true for all the weight I've gained in the last 4 months!! :laugh: Then I could dig in and get to the hard work of removing stubborn fat that's been hanging around on me for WAAAAAAY too long.
I love hearing about everyone and it's also fun to hear the re-cap of my dear friends I've known on here for such a long time now!
We were out today at Canadian Tire (an auto, camping, housewares kind of store) and I found a decent sized soft cooler bag (with no lead, pvc, pthalates etc etc!!) and got some small glass sealable containers to fit perfectly inside of it. One of the biggest things for me is making sure I have healthy things to snack on when we're out. And considering we're a homelearning, out-and-about-all-the-time kind of family, it's SO important. That old saying, "failing to prepare is preparing to fail" holds so true for me with my nutrition. And of course, nutrition is about 80% of what builds your body!! "A six-pack isn't made in the weight room, it's made in the kitchen!" (oft quoted in Oxygen Magazine). I'm going to go get dressed for a work out and test out my knee with a very gentle walk-run interval outside. I hope it goes well...0 -
Even though I am down a pound then back up that pound I perservere! 148 just seems to like me. I agree with Rhiannon nutrition is the key but I keep pushing my fitness too! I burned 483 calories in my hour Insanity Max Interval Plyo workout today. It is 5:42 pm and I have like 700 calories left. I will be good I promise!!! Good job posting everbody!!!

I'm not weighing this week as my new pills and cysts are throwing everything about me off whack including my emotions and I can't handle a disappointment (which considering how bloated I feel is inevitable). But I will weigh in next week either way and go from there.

just a quick hello.....i am still alive. feeling back to myself. i didn't much like the couch, bed, bathroom routine. made a gym visit today. first in a week. felt so good. can't believe i didn't even lose a pound. i swear something is wrong with my body. back later, going to go throw a salad together that has to sit in the fridge for 24 hours before you eat it.

I have a question that is completely non weight loss related.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to easily decorate a High School Musical cake? I can bake with the best of them! But my decorating leaves a lot to be desired. I'm trying to save money by doing the cake myself.
I did it for my son's birthday in September, but his was easier. It was a Bakugan themed birthday, but he had science entertainment (dh did the entertaining), so I washed some of his plastic dinosaurs w/ the rocks & trees that went with them & decorated the cake with them. It actually turned out really cute! But High School Musical is way beyond my talent.0 -
