I post pictures of food on Facebook because I cook amazing shi+ and people love to see what I've prepared. I'm a culinary badass and I owe it to the world to share my gastronomic genius with those who consider themselves my friends.

Guilty sorta as charged. I only put up photos of delicious items I've created that I think look wonderful. Some intricate cookies. The awesome lemon cheesecake with fresh fruit on top. Yeah. . .I've posted a few of those. But, not my dinner or anything. Not sure if anyone really cares to see a salad with tuna and veggies on FB.0

I'm a culinary school student. I post my class pictures on FB so my family and friends can see what I'm up to. Plus I'm proud of what I do.0

Because I decorate cakes for a side job (did it professionally for years) and I've been a chef... Most folks on FB want recipes, pictures and ideas because they're interested in healthy and vegetarian cooking or my cake designs.0

Womens Health Australia wrote an article on this very thing. Its called food porn and they have linked it to contributing to ppl putting on weight. You see a huge pile of pancakes so you go eat some... you see a greasy steak dinner with chips and gravy... guess what, you go and have one! Even if you dont eat what is in the picture, the research suggests it provokes you to have an equally high cal feed!... hide posts from friends who regularly do this is my suggestion0

Or maybe take responsibility for yourself and don't be so easily influenced by random pictures of *kitten*.0

Funny thing about FB is that you can actually scroll past something you don't want to look at. Go figure.:ohwell:0

I bet you wouldn't say that if you could eat them too.0 -
Someone just tell me why... why.....WHY do people post pictures of food on Facebook?
I am a heavy FB user but why in the world do you think I'd be the slightest bit interested in seeing what shortly is going to be working its way through your digestive tract?
WHY?
/end rant.

I shall now skip taking pictures of pretty dinner dishes and go straight to the aftermath. We shall play a game of "guess what it was before". I'm joking of course. I take pictures to make my friends drool because some of the stuff I come up with looks absolutely delicious! I never really thought of anyone thinking "well she's about to digest that eww gross" but I have had a couple friends complain that if I keep posting pictures or describing what I'm planning for dinner to at least invite them over. lol0 -
I only did it once when I searched for a recipe and I pushed like to save the recipe and it stuck to my facebook wall. So I did post a picture of that meal. I could see posting a picture of a fancy cake or something but its not my normal.0
