For the month of February, our food challenge is to keep our total percentage of fat calories at 30 percent or less EVERY SINGLE DAY.

The idea was, since MFP already sets our goal for fat calories at 30 percent, not to have more than 30 percent of our daily calories come from fat. So the easy way is to use MFP's settings or, if you set your own (which I do), to set fat at 30 percent or lower. (I have mine at 25 percent). The more complicated, but not THAT hard, way to do it is take your fat grams for the day, multiply by 9 (because there are 9 calories per gram of fat), and divide by total calories, and that will tell you exactly what percentage of your daily calories came from fat. Clear as mud?0

Well... I was under my calorie and fat gram goal for today, but when I follow Jills handy dandy equation it looks like my fat percentage yesterday was a little over 31%. Guess I'll watch things a little better today

Well one of us is losing it, that's for sure. I'm banking on it probably being me. I'm scared to think of what I may be like when I'm 50 :noway:0

Glad there is more in on it this time!!! I'm eating some summer sausage today for snack ( i love that stuff!) i'm scared today might be bad on the fat. I'll see what i can arrange though0 -

Man I suck! I just can't get it under 30%! Well, I did once, but just barely. I seem to hoover around 32%! Ugh! If I eat an orange or something right now to increase my calories without adding fat I could probably get there (and I do have calories to use now that I've had my workout...), BUT I'M NOT HUNGRY!
