You might wanna post a picture of yourself so others can see what your body type is, so they can decide if there's is like yours, if that makes sense, or If I'm reading what you wrote correctly.

I've noticed even 1 inch in height makes a difference, we've really got the brunt of the stick !! What's your ideal weight ? I'm not sure what mines should be it would be awesome to see pictures as well if anyone has any? I myself am 5 foot nothing on a good day lol

I am 5' 1.5", but I usually claim to be 5'2"...my lowest weight in 20 years has been 135, and I wanted to lose 5-10lbs, but instead I got pregnant and gained 60.

People are right that your goal weight has to be a personal thing. Set your initial goal according to the BMI chart--maybe 10lbs "overweight" and see how you feel when you get there. I set my goal for 145lbs, but honestly may not get there. I have a hell of a lot more muscle this time around, so I have decided to maintain once I hit a size 8 no matter what the scale says.

this was me in '09 and I was no less than 190lbs. Those pants are a 14/16

Focus on dropping body **fat**, as opposed to body **weight**.

    That was my biggest issue.

I started out wanting to drop weight, but when I hit 61kg, I realised I didn't have much of a shape that I actually liked, and shape is what people see, not the numbers of the scales.

I've started doing heavy lifting, cardio etc, focusing on becoming stronger, and I'm now a kg heavier but have a more defined body than I did at 61kg.

    I'm ~ 5"4 in height, if that's any help.

Im 5ft and like you guys trying to find a weight that suits is difficult and extra wee lb or two can make a short person look huge!!! I have about 4 stone to lose to get back to the maximum weight for my height however Im happy at that weight and would love to be back there again!!! The issue with BMI is that it doesnt take consideration of your shape... Before I put on so much weight I had asked my doctor about it and was advised that because of my body shape they wouldnt be too worried if I was over the maximum weight for my height by up to 1 stone. My goal weight is to get down to 9 stone... If I make it then I might review it again!!!

This website also allows you to put in your frame size for better estimate of ideal weight http://www.healthcentral.com/diet-exercise/ideal-body-weight-3146-143.html

That's the thing usually my frame or shape or whatever madness is in between 2 different options. It's nonsense ! I did away with all the calculations now I'm just toning and aiming to drop 2 lbs at a time to see where I'm happy realistically . My mum used to be like 95 lbs she was a stick but 10 lbs more n I swear it just Didnt settle right lol I have her frame and height unfortunately but I'm hoping odds are I won't have to get to that weight lol

Same with mine. According to the formula, I have a large frame, but I think I have a medium build. I think I was between the two builds but more close to medium. I think a good weight for me is between 125 and 130 lbs. I will aim for that range.

I'm 4' 11 (OK, 4' 10.5 if I am completely honest LOL) always my ambition to get to 5', big epic fail on that one.

My ideal weight taking account of my age (50) is 120lbs. I was that 6 years ago and felt feminine, healthy, sexy and all the good things. That is at the top end of the scale for what I should be but it was were I felt comfortable and happy, and it is where I am aiming for again.

I am 4'11. I currently weight 108 lbs., which is in the range I was aiming for between 100-110. I lost 24lbs. on WW. I just switched to MFP, because of cost. I'm seeing how this method will work for me.
    I actually like be a shorty. :)
