Cut it into pieces, put them in your mouth, chew and then swallow.
It's one day in the year, enjoy it.0 -
It won't soak up as much oil as you think. Enjoy it.0

Take all the nice crispy skin and send it to me, then you can eat whatever you want...It doesn't have the breading like a lot of fried stuff, so there isn't as much for the oil to stick with. Eat a small portion and enjoy. It isn't like fried turkeys are available to you all year, are they?0

eat it if it bothers you go for some of the lighter meat. good luck! and have fun!0

I've had deep fried turkey... it's not like it's covered in batter then fried. eat some breast meat and you'll be fine
Why the hell isn't it covered in batter first?! It really should be.0 -
Fried is fine. BREADED and fried isn't- but if my dad went to the trouble of breading and deep-frying a turkey, you bet your bippy I'd still eat it. Eat the damn turkey. Jeebus Crispy people. This is unbelievable. the level of obsession is sad. the MOST a person could gain on Thanksgiving would be one pound- maybe two if you take down 7,000 cals. Everything else is water weight that will disappear within a week. What is wrong with everyone?!0

EAT IT after you EXERCISE, I know you're not skipping your workout?0

Enjoy the turkey.
Enjoy the day with your family.
One meal with some fried turkey isn't going to ruin you.

Would the batter be able to survive and hour + in the oil?0 -
I would say don't eat it. There's generally plenty of other things to eat. But, I dunno, I'm a vegetarian, so I suppose I'm biased. It's okay to take a day off to enjoy yourself, though.0

I couldn't agree more, but it's not....
however, the best part about when my friend deep fries a turkey is popping the bacon wrapped jalepeno poppers in the hot turkey oil right after. NOM!
OMG...So drooling right now.0 -

Happy Thanksgiving to all those that celebrate the holiday. I am doing a Turkey Trot in the morning prior to dinner with the family so that will wear off some of those calories from the Pumpkin Pie I was told I can have as well....LOL :happy:0 -
