... select Caribbean dance numbers to kick start and maintain an upbeat tempo throughout my workout and my day.. .

Vybz Kartel, Sasha, Sean Paul, Movado, Gyptian, Taio Cruz (he is more Miami - I like "Best girl" - for the beats are what I like out of most of his singles), Tinie Tempa, Bei Maejor, ... They're kinda of a little slower than dance, more kizomba, zouk tempo ... Smooth hypnotic trance. Yeah. Have a listen. It either agrees with you or it doesn't with select numbers.

Edited to add: The fast-paced, rhythmic riddim/dancehall beats.

If you like hip hop check out Rhymesayers. Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Grieves & Budo. Also worth a listen, Zion- I, Cunninlinguist, Homeboy Sandman, Phonte, Fashawn. For running, I'm electronic/dance music all the way. Check out www.templedub.com for some really good mixes. Music makes putting in work much easier, let me know if you check any of these out.

Micheal Jackson, thriller, billy jean, scream w/ janet jackson (my favorite!), smooth criminal. All his more upbeat ones. Now if I play man in the mirror or something it will kill my workout.

I like all types of music too, and really really do... but like different things when I am working out depending on what I am doing...
I like a lot of dance/hip hop when I'm doing cardio (makes me look forward to shaking my fit *kitten* in the club) ;) And when I run, the harder/louder the better. My closet gangster really comes out when I run, but hard rock is good too. LOL.

Here is what I'm running to lately...

    Spend It - 2 Chainz
    Go get It - TI
Never Gonna Stop - Rob Zombie
More Human Than A Human - Rob Zombie
    Birthday Cake - Rihanna
    Dig - Mudvayne
    Not Falling - Mudvayne
    Amazing - Kanye West
Under and Over It - Five Finger Death Punch
    Til I Collapse - Eminem
    Not Afraid - Eminem
    Bodies - Drowning Pool
All I Do Is Win - DJ Khaled
    Crazy B*tch - Buckcherry

Anyone who has similar taste in music send me a friend request!!! I am ALWAYS looking for new/different stuff!!!

Powerglove is probably my favorite band to listen to while working out. If you're a 90's gamer or like 90's television, they're incredible- total nerd music (and metal).

Kamelot, Nightwish, Florence + the Machine, Spectacular Spectacular from Moulin Rouge, Dr.Horrible's Sing Along Blog, Kristin Chenoweth's I Want Somebody, the Black Mages, Seventh Wonder, Epica, Within Temptation, Evanescence, Sonata Arctica are great for working out.
