I like to start with Tribal beats/ psyche in numbers and then veer towards Latin + select Caribbean dance numbers to kick start and maintain an upbeat tempo throughout my workout and my day. I'm a clubber, so anything Dance/Techno/Trance/Electonica - basically anything upbeat and high energy works.
A sample of my playlist:
Last Voice's "Jungle."
Short Change Hero's "Heavy."
Daddy Yankee's "Limbo."
Don Omar's "Hasta que salga el sol."
Don Omar's "Ella no sigue modas."
Psy's "Gangnam style," right in the middle of my playlist - to crack me up
Tacabro's "Tacata."
Alex Ferrari's "Bara bara, bere bere."
MC Ceja's "Botelleo."
Swedish House Mafia
Sia's "Titanium."
MIA's "Paper Planes."
Edited to add: Anything Rob Zombie - he just rocks!0 -
Azealia Bank's "212" This song cracks me up every time.0

... select Caribbean dance numbers to kick start and maintain an upbeat tempo throughout my workout and my day.. .
Vybz Kartel, Sasha, Sean Paul, Movado, Gyptian, Taio Cruz (he is more Miami - I like "Best girl" - for the beats are what I like out of most of his singles), Tinie Tempa, Bei Maejor, ... They're kinda of a little slower than dance, more kizomba, zouk tempo ... Smooth hypnotic trance. Yeah. Have a listen. It either agrees with you or it doesn't with select numbers.
Edited to add: The fast-paced, rhythmic riddim/dancehall beats.0 -
Prodigy
Sir Mix-A-Lot....very upbeat
I also like rock/rap collaborations...Public Enemy/Anthrax,
and one of the most overlooked songs ever "Just Another Victim" by Helmet/House Of Pain0
