Is there a difference between a Cougar and a M1L_?

Just wondering...I want to be one. Now. My patience is low and my frustration is high! I need a few friends to kick my *kitten* and motivate me. Please have a warped sense of humor if I were as good at losing weight as I am at self-deprecation, I'd definitely be in stalking mode right now. Meow.

I'm a self-proclaimed expert on this one... There is no difference!

Whether or not you already are one, if losing weight and toning is your goal, this site is for you. Keep up the enthusiasm and track everything you eat! You will reach your goals!

hahaha a cougar is a rich older lady that basically takes financial care of her "toy boy" for sexual pleasure , a milf is a hot mom that many men would have sex with... sorted?

That "rich" part leaves me out, guess my goal is milf.

MILF: Is simply a mother. While most would suggest that it is the mother of a teenage child who's guy friends drool over her, it can be pretty much any mother (many strippers fall under this category, even if their kid is simply an infant)

Cougar is somebody who usually dates (or in a relationship with) a male younger than her. While the number of years male has to be younger can be debated, I would say the age difference is at least 10 years.

ETA: Good luck with your weight loss journey and I wish you lots of success! :)

I could be very wrong but can't you just go for ... being healthy and fit rather than labeling yourself with such names?

Sometimes we need a couple of labels to help encourage us to reach our goals!

She clearly stated she has a different personality that isn't for everyone. So she can be fit, she can be healthy and she surely can be a MILF too :) Whatever label motivates her, so be it.......Good luck and in 20 more years, you'll graduate to cougar

No, actually its not. A cougar does not have to take financial care of the younger guy for sex.

I think of a cougar as an older woman who tries to seduce younger men. A milf is a mom who is insanely hot but isn't intentionally trying to get attention.

  • While I absolutely encourage getting healthy and fit and doing what feels right for you, at the same time, I believe that "sexy" is all in the attitude, and you seem to have plenty of it already! Don't wait! Might as well get out there are start enjoying your journey now! ;-)

I could go for "being healthy and fit" rather than labeling myself with such names...but I choose not to; how many people on here say, "I want a body like (fill in the blank)? What's the difference? Just because I am setting a goal to look "insanely hot", the healthy and fit part goes without saying.

I'd definitely go for MILF...I'm happily married but have been told I'm a MILF and I'm quite proud of that (who just wants to be fit and healthy....that's boring!!!).

My hubby also has a GILF at our kids school (grandmother, lol!)

A bit of harmless banter and eyecandy never hurt anyone, and I agree with one of the other posters, don't wait til you think you're there...you're gorgeous, go grab it now. Life is for living not watching :drinker:

Wow, I never even thought of gilf...I guess I need to change my goal...I have three grand babies (one just turned two today). I am now officially setting my goal to ( insert trumpet fanfare here) GILF!!!

I'm of two minds. Why use a label that was intended to render women as objects by/and for the porn industry? The general use of MILF comes from that. There is a derogatory root to this term.
If you are taking possession and really "owning" the sexuality behind this slang that seems fantastic. But I'd be reserved about it, after all, it is literally and initially intended qualification from the view of a (young) man; "mother I'd like ...". I'd some how think that "insanely hot" is less ... derogatory.
Plus think of the logistics - one can be MILF material - but being a MILF literally means a lot of self-pleasure (nttawwt!).
Pedantics aside, I often wince when I hear terms like "b!tch", "slut" used for self description (outside the bedroom) and don't see this as THAT much different. My litmus test might be what I would accept at my dinner table.
On the other hand, use what you want, burn down social mores on the bonfires of coarse and common language. It's a living thing and I need a coffee.

    Edit: stupid autocorrect.
