When I became pregnant, I was told no weight gain, but weight loss was okay... I obeyed the doctor, and didn't gain anything, until my last month, then I started to retain water, and 8-10 pounds of water weight was there. I agree with everyone else, do as the Dr. instructs, but for me, it was cutting out the "useless" 100 calorie pack snacks, and adding in healthier ones, an apple or a banana, and those extra glasses of milk took up that extra 200-300 calories easily, so I definitely had to watch what I ate.
