Even if you already have an iPhone and a laptop..

I'm second guessing my Christmas gift for my man.

    I didn't get it engraved. I bought a personalized SF Giants leather case for it though.

    Just giving you a hard time. Coming from someone who had an iPhone, Laptop and iPad, I never used my iPad unless I was traveling.

    if he has talked a lot about wanting one then i think you did well. if he has never or rarely mentioned the Ipad then he probably wont be too thrilled with it.

    My boyfriend got one for his birthday (already has a laptop and an iPhone). He doesn't use it much, honestly.

    Yeah I haven't even recieved it yet from apple, it comes tomorrow but I can't return the case.

    That's how I feel. I have a laptop and an iPhone 5 but I'd totally use an iPad. I just hope he does and likes it.

    No, because I hate apple. However obviously he doesn't, so I would say he would be happy. I have a laptop, and android phone, and would be thrilled to get a android tablet.

    If he mentioned he wanted one, you should be fine. :D
    He mentioned it a bunch of times and he is deployed so there isn't much else to do. Plus he will have 3 more 23 hour flights before he is back for good so maybe it will come in handy then.

    Personally I would HATE to receive a gadget for Christmas.

    In a year or two it will be so outdated that he will sell it for 1/4 of what you paid for it - look at the price of iPad 1's on eBay now.

    Add personalization and that value is even lower.

    Buy him something fun or something personal, or something sexy, something he will remember.....

    he has just about everything "fun" I could get him. I am including a bunch of personal items in his christmas package including a huge scrapbook I've been working on for about a year now. It has pictures and letters from the time we started dating 3 years ago until now. AND I can't do anything sexy for him because he is so far away and he gets plenty of sexy pictures from me on the weekly. :\

    You listened to him say that he wanted one, it makes sense as a gift as iPad's are great for on plane trips with their long battery life. You have also gone to the effort of personalising it for him, which is a nice touch.

    No-one on here knows your partner as well as you do, so don't second guess yourself. From my point of view, any gift that comes with some though and good intention is a gift worth receiving.

    The man already has an iPhone and a laptop... get him an Xbox or something.
    I already bought him a playstation last christmas. PLUS he is deployed so he can't have it out there.

    Thank you. :) I was hoping to read something like this to make me stop second guessing myself. He has said himself he would love anything from me even if it was a bunch of old dirty socks. So I'm hoping an iPad is better than old dirty socks lol
