To the person/people who asked why i see a surgeon and two other drs...

Isnt that obvious? When people have surgery they generally need a surgeon...
    Everyone has a GP
And I see a specialist Dr for a health reason.

I dont se why I need to share my private health problems with strangers.

See..that's just it..no one asked you to share ANYTHING. You posted your concerns on the forum..so why the eff are you offended that someone asked a question?

    That makes no sense.

These people are trying to help you. If you have a problem with the advice they are offering..or their questions.......deal with it, or go to your doctor(s) for advice next time.

    Geez!!!

Agreed! People are just trying to help. Why did you come to strangers with your questions if you don't want to discuss your life with strangers?

Because my weight has nothing to do with seeing those Drs. Fine if it will help I have a brain tumour. Thats why I see 3 drs.

You don't have to get snippy with people just because they want context.

But that said, how tall are you and are you of a medium or large build? The way you carry your weight can make you look thinner than you actually are.

Your drs and sugen might just be worried about your ablility to recover from an illness or surgery. Weight loss puts alot of stress on the human body, add to that an illness and you might have a very hard time recovering. Also they might be worried that you are not getting the right nutrients to feed you body.

I personally think it would be a good idea for you to start eating maintenace and work on building some strengh and stamina. Obviously you have a long journey a head of you and need to take very good care of yourself.

    best of luck to you.

In some ways I agree with the comments that say do waht makes you happy. But nearly 50lbs in so little months is a very rapid weight loss. The best way to loose weight and keep it off, whilst remaining healthy is to do it slowly. You have a very healthy BMI and if you continue to loose weight at this speed you will reapidly become under weight and maybe even malutritioned. This can have as many health complications (if not more) as being over weight can. Your Doctors and family are giving you advice in your best interests.

You've had three medical professionals give you their opinion. Do you honestly think you'll get better advice from a bunch of us nitwits on MFP? Your doctors aren't telling you that you are too thin, but they are expressing a concern that maybe the manner in which you are losing weight is not the healthiest and that they don't want you to lose too much more. FYI - nearly 50 lbs in a few months is very rapid. Maybe ask for a referral to a nutritionist and focus more on nutrition than on weight loss.

This^^^ i think you need to listen to your health professionals.

If you need any treatment other than surgery, you may well lose your appetite and lose weight unintentionally. The recovery from surgery can be pretty taxing too. You can cope with treatment better if you keep your weight up a bit.

Ultimately, you have to do what is right for you. Personally, I would listen to medical professionals, they generally know what they are talking about. That being said everyone's body shape is different and weight effects them differently. Maybe your hipbones stick out because you just don't have as much fat there and it is stored elsewhere. You know your health better than anyone. If you feel weak and fatigued, maybe they are on to something. Keep in mind the most important thing in weight loss should be your health, not the number on the scale!

Chances are you've lost weight too fast and still have some loose skin, which is why you still see fat? I've lost 51lbs since LAST July!

A BMI of 23 is good. That's what mine used to be, 10 years ago, and I thought I was fat at the time, but when I look at photos I can see that I wasn't at all, in fact my face was a starting to look gaunt. Everyone has different frames. I am now far off looking like I did then and my BMI is just under 27 now. I weigh a lot more than I look like I do. You might be the same.

If I were you i'd work on strength training and toning up.

Because they don't want you to look better than them. They don't want you to rise above the standard of ordinary and become extraordinary. Tell them to go **** themselves and do what you want to do.
Only if the world was that very shallow. New flash, most family actually do care.

considering that you're already a healthy BMI should be your cue to stop losing weight. If it were just family members telling you to stop losing weight then I'd tell you that it was probably because they're used to you being bigger: however, since a few doctors have told you to stop, then it is time to stop.

ETA: Since you have a brain tumor, they're trying to keep you from getting underweight. If you are going to under go chemotherapy; it is based on body weight and body surface area. Any deviation from the MEDICAL ideal weight is going to cause you complications in your recovery.
