While I agree with most of what you said, I disagree with the genetics part. I think with enough effort you could get there. Does that mean get there in 6 weeks? no....depending on your starting point it could take years...but its not impossible.

So, good post and I agree about telling people to not look for the short cuts and make it a lifestyle change (that was your point right?)...but I disagree about saying that those type of goals are out of reach.

You can't go over your genetic potential unless you use steroids.....no more than I can be 5'10" (I am 4'11'' by the way) I did say that you can be the best you can be and maybe even better than those exemples.

  • Exactly, you can have goals, but don't compare yourself to others, ever.

that is probably the best advice anyone can have! The Original post also touched on it. We have our genetics. I, for instance, will forever have a larger butt and thighs because both of my parents do, and so do my sisters. But i don't let it get me down! I embrace my differences and as long as i feel good, and can tell that it is firm and toned, not flabby, then i am ok.

I just wish more people would be willing to follow the simple idea of not comparing yourself. It isn't healthy.

    Be patient and consistent.

If you feel you need to change something, give it 6-8 weeks to see if it work and if it is sustainable. Change one thing at a time.

I agree that this is the best advice to give anyone!

I personally don't know my progress since I last restarted this journey, but I know you have to really be patient and consistent. And I took the baby step of just starting with recording. 55 days later, I'm slowly finding that this is becoming a habit. I cannot go a day without recording. If I don't have time to record dinner that day, I'll go back the next morning and log it in. This is not me, but it could be someone I could get use to.

The picture of the man had more nipple showing than the picture of the woman. This is sexist. I demand gender equality.

Man, I gotta get my butt busy with the strength training. Maybe I can't look just like her, but no harm in trying.
