I bought my husband an iPad mini and a JBL iPod dock. He'll also be getting various other things, cologne, gift cards, etc.

We are "getting" each other granite counter tops. How romantic, but we both wanted them and thought it was better than wasting money on things we don't need or want.

We're not buying anything this year; we put a down payment on a pool contract for next year. We're building a pool; 40'x20' free form with a 9' waterfall. I think that's enough for 2 Christmases, plus birthdays and anniversary (although he's already put in his order for his birthday...a bow).

I went to a Real Estate auction a few weeks ago and bid on and bought a small piece of farm/pasture land (approx 50 acres, I think) for him because he couldn't go himself and we closed on it 4 days b4 Christmas so I told him that was all he was getting. But I bought him a new jacket and some shirts and jeans too.
