Nervous twitching. Not being able to sleep. Becoming so addicted to it that when you go a day without it, you get a headache. But I still loooove it....0

Check out www.justbrewit.org.
That coffee has ganoderma lucidum in it, good for you AND TASTY! Research the benefits of ganoderma lucidum.0 -
You can actually OD on coffee... meaning if you drink a certain amount you can hallucinate. True.0

For some people caffeine causes high blood pressure. For me, nothing - besides not being able to sleep. WHICH IS AWESOME! Especially during finals!0

I just saw the word coffee and had to go into this topic, btw i'm currently drinking coffee
I have it with trim milk and one sugar, Coffee isn't actually that bad in moderation but if your adding sugar or milk you need to make sure you track it, each of my coffee's is 52cals,
Btw way if your interested.. Nescafe and another brand (can't remember name) have brought out "GReen" coffee, it taste's AMAZING and has more nutrients and more health benefits than green tea!!!! It's slightly more expensive but it is goooood0 -
Chug it, by the gallons, its a good diuretic and gives you that extra boost in the morning when you most need it. The goods outweigh the bad by far.0

Hmmm...exactly how much? Cause I can bust out some Pink Floyd and brew a pot!0 -

Unfortunately, you'd have to drink more than a normal human can consume.0 -

Yeah. You'd have to drink an assload. I used to drink an entire pot and then some. But, I cut way back.
Ahhhh Pink Floyd/Roger Waters. Love em with or without massive amounts of coffee. Ha.0 -
I am yet to find a downside0

for some people its a stimulant (heart palpitations, high blood pressure, jittery, ulcers, sleeplessness etc). For me no symptoms, I can drink an expresso on my way home from work and then sleep with no problems, also can go days without coffee with out the withdrawal effects ( choose to drink it most everyday, multiple cups for multiple years). Never heard of anyone having hallucinations from it unless they were mixing it with something else.0
-
Yeah. You'd have to drink an assload.
I think you mean butt load. Assload is not a actual unit of measurement0 -
No downside noted here....0

Yes please! I love coffee and it is frequently my go-to when I am hungry, have already had lots of water and need a pick me up. I drink it black so no added sugar either. I love it - have lived without it (two pregnancies and 26 months of nursing) but love it love it love it!!!0

There really are people that cleanse their assloads with it though.....0 -
my downside is peeing and pooping a lot after my 2 cups in the morning....and wanting mass quantities of vanilla creamer...love that ****.0

Standard, or Metric?0 -
the fact that when you see a post titled, "coffee" you click on it every time0

Right. Gotta be more accurate.
Auditory hallucinations from extreme amts of coffee are rare, but there are studies.0 -

I don't think there is a metric equivalent0 -
I love coffee very much, and usually only drink a cup a day (maybe two at most) but it suddenly started giving me tremors, symptoms of an anxiety attack, and waking me up in the middle of the night with my heart pounding. I can occasionally drink it without these symptoms, but from time to time I "detox" from caffeine in order to not have to go through them again. Really scary stuff.
If you don't have any ill side effects from caffeine then I don't think coffee is bad for you, but do keep an eye on how your body reacts to it.0 -
Downside? Um... you'll fall in love with it and want it daily. ^_^
Seriously. Just depends. What is being added in it? If you drink it black that's the best way. If you add syrups, heavy hydrogenated creams, and half a cup of sugar... well, yea, that's bad haha. Other than that, if you have a caffeine sensitivity or your doctor tells you not to consume a lot due to medications or heart problems, well, then that is bad for you.
Personally me... I have been drinking coffee since I was a kid, I have experienced no bad problems with it. It was not the cause of my weight gain, however... I do notice caffeine almost does not effect me. I can drink 5 cups of coffee and go to sleep if I wanted to. That is slightly downing, but on the bright side... more coffee and less jitters!0 -
The downside is that it is the most amazing thing ever...Wait...downside?0

Cool; what refs and what journal is it published in? I'd love to read up on it in my down time0 -

No, assload is a measurement. 1000 assloads are a metric F*ckton.0 -
Well for me to drink it, I need to add about 1/4 cup of flavored creamer as well as about 3 tablespoons of sugar. So......a queasy tummy and weight gain?
I unfortunately was raised drinking ONLY pepsi from as young as I remember, so the caffeine doesn't so much bother me (stimulating-wise), but I used to have issues "coming off of" caffeine - horrible migraines. Thank goodness I've broken the physical and mental addiction0 -
NOTHING!
Coffee is wonderful in every single way...LOL  :drinker:0
