It does not matter where the water source is from I can't stand the taste. I have used many filters (including the brita), Water straight from an underground spring, (crystal springs in Plymouth NH is just one of these places.) I gag while drinking it.

Some people swear by water enhances like Crystal Light to help with water intake. What about drinking herbal tea? Then dilute it a bit more until you are basically drinking water.
Honestly, I'd just get over it. I didn't like water at first, now I crave ice cold glasses of it. Water is good for you. Make healthiness a priority over tastiness.0 -
Dr. Oz has a "recipe" for water - I believe it's listed on his site. It contains lemon, cucumbers, mint and a few other ingredients. You mix it all together in a pitcher and let it sit in the refrig overnight. You might want to try it to see if you like it.0

You're not alone. I don't hate it, but I don't like it either. I drink water maybe once a week. I just drink powerade zero, coffee, diet soda, tea, and zero calorie energy drinks. It hasn't hindered my weight loss at all.0

I add a little lemon juice to my water - makes it bearable! I find in the winter, I need to drink it room temperature... but it is all I drink (except on weekends when the beer comes out haha) :drinker:0

I don't hate water, but get bored with it so I sometimes use Mio and other things like crystal light to add a little flavoring. You can add as much or as little as you want. Lemon juice and cucumber slices as others have mentioned can be tasty too.0

I use the water enhancers like Mio. Except I'm a cheap guy so I use the Wal Mart Great Value brand. It makes my mouth think that I'm drinking kool-aide. Maybe you could try that?0

Yay for the Mio!!0 -
? After running through the RO filter, my water doesn't taste like anything.0

I use Mio0

I do lemon juice sometimes but my favorite is to throw some chunked fruit into it and let is soak.
So I will fill a pitcher with water and throw in some chunked up strawberries then drink the pitcher.0 -
I just add vodka. It helps a lot.
Best of luck in your journey!0 -
Flavored seltzer might help.0

Water isn't my preference, so I drink green tea as often as not. The point is hydration without adding calories.0

I agree.. water is UGH... I'm horrible, I even put non carbonated energy drinks in my water bottle LOL.0

It's all in your head.0

Dr. Oz has a recipe for being a schlub for whoever pays him the most. He has it perfected.0 -
The taste of coke, beer, OJ, fries, mozzarella sticks, and double whoppers is sooooooo much better.0
-
Try adding fruit slices to it, or maybe drink tea or coffee without sugar or other low/no calorie drinks.0

I disagree....sounds like there are a lot of us that can't stand the taste of water.
Crystal light is my choice to make water drinkable :-)0 -
My heart tries to bleed for you: and then it doesn't. For gods sake get a tiny bit real - not the OP of course, well done for you for making these steps and I do wish you well and hear where you are coming from; but anyone bothering about the taste of water (and I've only heard it it from US people on this site so far), please be a touch more aware...

Maybe you could donate some of what you spend on diet soda and Mio and Crystalite and other crap to people who really need actual water?0 -
Never actually heard of anyone hating the taste of water...I guess for me, it tastes like nothing pretty much. I think it gets old and borring, so I will add lemon or some cucumber slices...stuff like that. When I'm feeling like a soda, I use my soda stream and just make bubbly water and squeeze some lemon in there.0

I am another one that really didn't like the taste of plain water. When I switched over from drinking juice and milk, I started adding juice from half a slice of lemon and that made a huge difference in the taste. I still add lemon if I am drinking plain water but otherwise, I drink green tea or I add the Lemonade Crystal Light to kill the taste of the Vitamin C/Lysine supplement I take. My daughter loves the Raspberry Lemonade Crystal Light.0

I never understand these threads. Water has no taste...it is just wet. I grew up in a house that ran off a well that had sulfur water....try a refreshing glass of that and then get back to me on how terrible regular water tastes. :laugh:0

I love cold distilled water! Only water can quench my thirst especially after exercise! But then I do live in a very warm climate.Tap water is yucky, as for drinking water in stores, doctor in the house says is," rubbish, probably treated with chemicals and filled from tap"! At least with distilled water you know what's in it, nothing but condensed steam! I have completely weened myself of all soft drinks other than with cocktails!0

Look on the bright side. At least you can stand the smell of air.0

Boil it, cool it and drink it. If you still can't stand the taste, it is absolutely all in your head. Water is tasteless. Perhaps you can't stand the phenomenon of drinking something tasteless - but you can't not like the taste of no taste.0
