    Hello fellow Las Vegans! I'm new to myfitnesspal, but have had a membership to LVAC for several years. I have been going very infrequently, but need to get motivated to go regularly. Anyone out there go to LVAC on Sandhill or on Maryland Parkway? I think I'd be more motivated to go if I had someone to work out with, or even just meet once or twice. My mom is extremely faithful about going, but she's on the other side of town and goes in the morning. I work until 3:30 or 4:00pm.

    So, if there's anyone out there in Las Vegas who goes to LVAC and would like to meet me there on occasion, let me know. Or if you have any other ideas or meetups, I'd love to hear about them.

    Yey yey !! lol Las Vegas here :) been working out 2 full years now ... 1. started with weight training = learning the weights , 2. strength training after perfected my form started getting stronger 3. now trying out and experimenting with different meal plans, diets and meal timings :) I was240 and went down to 187 and coulndn't go down anymore, but since I started myfitnesspal and started counting calories woop woop lost almost two pounds in a week :) add me if you want my diary is open :)

    I'm in Las Vegas and I love to go hiking. I'd like to try doing it for fitness as well. It's going to be really nice up at Mt. Charleston in the next couple of months. Anyone who would like to go send me a message :) I also have a LVAC membership.

    I'm in Vegas as well. SouthEastish.. near South Point Casino. I love Mt. Charleston. Not sure if they are letting hikers back up there for recreation yet. I need to get hiking boots if I do that though. I love walking and trails and stuff up there. I have found that I really need to start slow. You sound really advanced (hiking that is). I only just started back walking since it's been really hot here this Summer so far. I only really go in the morning before the sun comes up and that's to walk my dog. But I'm not against doing more though. I have no workout equipment or a gym membership...don't like those places they aren't for people like me. I always end up next to the 95 year old sprinting on the machine. While I'm strolling at 1 with no incline and sweating like a whale. Anyway, feel free to add me as a friend. I'm always game to meet new people if nothing else.

    I had a LVAC memebership and I hated the contract it sucks. I now have a Golds Gym Membership and I love it! It's 20 dollars a month if you want classes and access to other Gold's Gym location, or $10 a month for gym access at one gym. NO contracts! The childcare is great, I take my 3yr old and 1 yr old all the time. I think its $2 a visist or $17 a month. I had personal training so they gave it to me for free.
