Question For Heavy Water Drinkers...

How often do you get up to pee in the middle of the night?

I average about 2-3 times per night, then in the morning it's a battle to stay in bed as long as a possibly can without pissing myself.

I drink about 3 -4 L a day and yup I am a night drinker!!! I wake up running to the toilet lol
  • I swear I pee more than my housemate who is 37 weeks pregnant...lol

I tend to drink most of my water in the afternoon/evening I guess that's probably why I get up so often at night haha

so how much fluid are you drinking?
if I drink alot in the evening, I wake in the night for a quick pee!

my friend who runs a farm reckons farmers used to drink a pint of water before bed so they'd awake before light ;)
    I don't care if it's not true, I like it :)

Your body adjusts to the water intake. I no longer get up and go at night, but I tend to drink less in the evenings than during the day.

When I first wake, I drink 16 oz of ice cold water first thing in the morning before I allow myself any coffee. Then I drink water or unsweetened tea all day long.

I drink around 14-16 glasses of water a day. I tend to try and stop drinking at night, but I will have a glass before I go to bed. I sometimes get up once, or not at all and just need to rush when I get up in the morning! I probably go about 5-6 times to the toilet during working hours, and probably about 4 more times at home, morning and night depending what else I am drinking.

Heavy Water is no the same as drinking heavy...its a form of water, its a result of cooling nuclear reactors, it has 2 hydrogen molecules rather then one.

Not to be confused with hard water or tritiated water.
    Heavy water

Except where noted otherwise, data are given for materials in their standard state (at 25 °C, 100 kPa)
    Infobox references
Heavy water, formally called deuterium oxide or 2H2O or D2O, is a form of water that contains a larger than normal amount of the hydrogen isotope deuterium, (also known as "heavy hydrogen") rather than the common protium isotope that makes up most of the hydrogen in normal water.[1]

    Blah,blah,blah.....

I drink my share of heavy water, but that's because I accidentally eated some uranium, and the heavy water helps keep the heartburn to a minimum. Peeing at night is cool because I don't even have to turn the light switch on.

I drink 16-20 cups/day and am in the bathroom constantly. I don't get up at night, but I also only sleep 5.5-6 hours.

I drink between 10-15 cups a day but I consume most of it before dinner so that way I'm not getting up in the middle of the night :)

Can't see how broken sleep is healthy.

    LMAO!!
I am an up 2 -3x per night guy myself.
Part of the issue is that my classes/workouts are in the evening. So, I drink lots. Both during the classes and when I get home.
I can also relate to the early morning wake up pee! :-)

No. It does not have "two hydrogen molecules". Water always has 2 H atoms in its molecule. The hydrogen in D2O is an isotope with a neutron in the nucleus making it heavier but chemically similar than its regular Hydrogen isotope which has no neutrons.
  • Why did this quickly turn into a chemistry lesson lol sorry for my poor wording atleast some people understand haha

Taper off the water a little after dinner. Wake up and drink 32 oz straight away. That will get you ahead of the game.
