"vitamin water" is just a fancy way of saying "overpriced water"
  • I just drink it because it tastes good. I wouldn't drink it for the vitamins, just as something to drink other than water.

It's all about the Fiji. Even if I can't fit the damn bottle in the cup holder.

I like the way it tastes, but I buy the sugar free stuff. I still take a multivitamin.

No I heard it's not really the type of vitamins that you can absorb. If you like the taste but not the calories go for the vitamin water zeros.
  • You'll definitely be +EV buying 1 gallon of spring water for 79¢ from publix. You should defintely drink 1 gallon of water every day.
  • The only version that even -might- be acceptable is Vitamin Water Zero. The full-calorie version is horrible for you and has as much sugar as a candy bar.
  • Since everyone should be drinking half their body weight in ounces of water to stay hydrated, your Vitamin Water isn't really going to help your H2O tally.. If you love it, enjoy it. No one should tell you otherwise...

I dunno why but both Fiji and Evian taste kinda gross to me. Nestle pure life is pretty good to me.

@OP: I personally like to drink water just to hydrate and like to control how much vitamins etc I get seperately so like somebody else suggested, just drink water and take a multivitamin. You'll be better off and it'll be cheaper too I think

Drink tap water. Eat a balanced diet. Save your money and stop buying "fortified" water. Or bottled water, for that matter.

tap water is not an option where I live

but buying vitamin water is not necessary

I got all kinds of water. It's in my kitchen, comes right out of the faucet, no extra charge!

Although, I've had some Vitamin Water at night, after too much booze, and before bed, and it seemed to help avert the hangover. Had it in the morning, too, after being overserved, seemed to help then. Maybe it does have it's place.

It's just watered down juice. I like it for the taste, but I don't consider it water.

I drink it time to time because of the flavor. There are some decent flavors to chose from, but I take the multi vitamin if I really want the vitamins.

I'd like to know exactly how it is that Vitamin Water will not help your water intake. It is mostly water afterall isn't it?
