What works for me is to stay hydrated the day of, drink some water in-between drinks, pop a couple of tylenol before bed, get a decent amount of sleep, and have a vitamin water revive before bed and/or in the morning. I think staying really hydrated is the key!

DO NOT TAKE ACETAMINOPHEN (Tylenol), IBUPROFEN (Advil), NAPROXIN SODIUM (Aleve), or ASPIRIN WHILE DRINKING ALCOHOL!!!!

A few sips of pickle juice calms down a fuzzy stomach. Water before bed is good too. Then bacon for breakfast.

Just me, but if you're drinking copious amounts of alcohol to get smashed, tylenol won't kill you or damage your liver anymore than you are already doing...
  • Don't take Tylenol, it can cause stomach bleeding when taken with alcohol.

    Coffee and water.

And here's an article about mixing Tylenol and alcohol from 2001: http://thehealthydrinker.com/2011/01/tylenol-and-alcohol/

"The National Institute of Health warns that mixing Tylenol with alcohol can cause “stomach upset, bleeding and ulcers, liver damage … and rapid heartbeat."

A beer for breakfast. It will sound disgusting at the time of your hangover, but it honestly works.

For everyone thinking that water is the cure...your answer is false. It's not about hydration. Yes, you can become dehydrated through drinking alcohol; however, it is the blood glucose level that is effected.

As for cures...I dont get hangovers...but I hear taking Alieve or Tylenol before you pass out helps.

My friend's wife died from this combination

Do a little research. It will literally ruin your liver. please don't do it

A Large REGULAR Coke from McDonalds. Has to be McDonalds .... add Grenedine.

    Then a beer.

I think it gets my blood sugar back up and the beer gives you a little alcohol to take the edge off the withdrawl. LOL

a cup of tea before bed. and water.

in the morning - a half teaspoon of salt and same of sugar dissolved in water (ie. a rehydration drink)
swim in the sea (no idea why, but being immersed in water helps me
a large pickled chilli. after that, you won't even FEEL the hangover anymore......
  • Drink a glass of water between every alcoholic drink that you have. Keeps you from drinking so fast and keeps you hydrated. Just be ready to pee a lot.

    agree!

glass of water and toast/bread before you go to bed
when you wake up really early to pee, go pee, drink another glass of water, take 2 advil, go back to bed for a few hours
wake up, feel surprisingly good but still not great
eat eggs, bacon and toast for breakfast and another 2 advil if needed

The cure is water. The hangover is a result of your brain not having enough hydration. So drink lots of water. When you're out drinking, you should alternate. Have an alcoholic drink then a glass of cold water. Plus, the water will help fill you up and you won't drink as much :p

This...and I've found that a glass of milk in the morning works as well.

More sex is always the answer. No matter what the question.

My husband would agree with this 100%.
He also keeps insisting giving him a BJ will make my neck pain go away.
This joke never gets old for him.

To the OP, many good ideas so far, so mine are not original.
Alternate each alcoholic drink with a glass of water.
    Tylenol before bed.
Greasy food with carbs (like hamburger & french fries)
    Plenty of sleep.
Lots of water the next day.
One of whatever I was drinking last night goes a long way to setting me straight the next day.

Ethanol induces CYP2E1 so more of the the toxic NAPQI is produced. If this overwhelms glutathione, you're screwed.

The morning after - Take one Aleve with water, and then a cup of coffee (not decaf) or Coke (diet or regular, just not decaf). Eat a little something like toast before if you don't think your stomach can take it.

Honestly, the REAL cure is - SLEEP. Just sleep it off. :flowerforyou:
