I'll be "that guy".
I would give them as Christmas gifts to people I don't like.
I'm not a fan of grapefruit...at all!0 -
I had half a grapefruit once at a brunch, it had some candied ginger/sugar bruléed on top and it was really delicious. This recipe is probably very close:
Grapefruit Ginger Brûlée
1 grapefruit
2-3 tablespoons brown sugar or raw coarse sugar
1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon of fresh ginger (powdered or candied ginger works too)
pinch of flakey sea salt
Cut your grapefruit crosswise, removing all seeds and cut round the edges and between each segment.
In a small bowl, mix the sugar, ginger and salt together and then spoon over each grapefruit. Place on a baking sheet (wipe off any excess fallen sugar from the sheet to prevent scorching) and heat under your broiler for 5-8 minutes until the sugar melts and the edges get cripsy. Or if you've got a blowtorch, use that to melt the sugar to form a golden brown and crispy surface. Serve immediately.
Would this make it taste good?0 -
WOW, Kittie! lol.
I would make wine with them. Don't crinkle your noses. You would be surprised just how good it tastes. After a year in the carboys, it smoothes way out and is nice and sweet.0 -
oh, you!!!0 -
make yourself have big boobs, juggle, make a hat, throw them, draw weird faces on them, lol but in all seriousness, I like to put them in salads (fruit) or eat them plain, cookies sounds great, but cookies always sound great to me . .

If you hate grapefruit, no0 -
this a serious question?0

Eat them plain!!!! I peel and segment the,, then take the skin layer off each segment. When they are on season (now!) I can eat 3 a day...I love grapefruit!0
-
I love grape fruit! That being said I eat them in sections like oranges. They are also good as grapefruit marmalade and cut into slices dipped in sugar or splenda water and then dehydrated. They taste like candied fruit then. I would LOVE to get a case of grapefruit for a gift! Enjoy!0

Oh, you could also do what we do with oranges... Buy some whole cloves and stick the cloves into the grapefruit in various patterns. Then put into a pretty bowl and display. It smells great and looks nice.
wtf did I really just type that. Ugh0 -
Juice them or bring them to a food bank or shelter.0
-
i usually just slice it up and eat it like that but most people i know don't like that. i've had salad dressings that had grapefruit so maybe try that!0
