Chris could I get the recipe for that please? Looks yummy, and I can swap a protein that is more easily available in Canada
Sure.
I just cooked the meat, onion, mushrooms in the pan first. Then added some frozen veggies. Then a bit of sesame oil, 4g of curry powder and the shiritaki noodles. Cook on high so it comes out nice and crispy.

...lemon-ginger berry compote!
That sounds absolutely delish! Definitely different from the usual berry compote. Mind sharing the recipe, please? :flowerforyou:0 -

Do you track macro's and/or calories?
If so, how do you all these good eats from restaurants and such?0 -

Really depends on what my current goals are, as to how close I track things. But for restaurants I just order what I want and don't even bother to estimate cals. I'll work in a deficit through the other 6 days etc0 -

It's so easy!
- 1 1/2 cup of frozen berries
- 2 tablespoon of cranberry juice (but could have been only water)
- 1 tablespoon of sucanat
- Lemon juice (one lemon yields)
- 2 teaspoon of ground ginger (that is a lot, you may put less of it if you don't like when it's spicy... and for sure, you can use grated fresh ginger instead, about 1 tablespoon)
And all you have to do is put everything in a small saucepan and bring it to a boil. Then, you reduce the heat and let simmer for about 25 minutes, until the fruits have yield a bit and have lost their shape. Remove from fire and let cool slightly before using it (or you can put it in the fridge right away for further use).
It's a slightly watery compote (like, between a sauce and a compote) but you can reduce it as much as you want to have the texture you like.0 -
Venison Wellington with Colcannon. This took me over my fat quota for the day but within my calorie limit (just). I'll have to cut down on the fat for next couple of days.

These are completely random snapshots from the past week or two.
Leftover spinach-artichoke pasta with a ton of cheese. Ugly but really good.
Veggie sandwich (rainbow peppers, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion, avocado) with the first mango I've ever eaten... holy God, was that ever tasty! I'll definitely be buying more of those this summer.
Gazpacho salad. Now that the weather's been legitimately hot I've been craving lighter meals. This is just cubed tomatoes, sweet peppers, and onions with balsamic vinegar. Totally hit the spot.
Simple chicken Caesar salad on which I overdid the dressing a bit.
Asian-Pacific Islander's Heritage Dinner. I can't name everything on this plate -- I know there's banana curry, glazed pork, Hawaiian pilaf, and coconut but the salad in the background as well as the fruits are a mystery -- but it was all fantastic. I could easily have eaten two more plates just like this (particularly the banana curry, which was outstanding).
Dessert at that same dinner: miniature pineapple upside-down cakes on a bed of roasted bananas, along with a drink I can't name but that was absolutely transcendent. I think it mainly involved papaya and cream, but it had a hint of something else... citrusy and almost effervescent without actually being carbonated. It was great and I will dream about it.0 -
