    I tried to give mine to the dog and even she wouldn't eat it.

    Careful, I think that's one of those things that might be toxic to pets. Double check that if you're trying to get rid of grapefruit again.

    There isn't much danger. It was 40 years ago. I'm sure the dog is fine.

    I love grapefruit, but I take some medications that are affected negatively by it, so I don't get to eat it anymore.
