A year ago I would have hid all the cameras. This year I am going to ask my husband to take my picture so I can update my MFP profile. I have discovered that looking at myself at my fattest, day after day is not very motivating. :noway:

Jealous of the run you got to take this morning! Love the cold weather for running and where you're at looks beautiful.

A year ago I was thinking I need to do something to get the baby weight off from the last two kids, while eating every Christmas goodie I could or that was offered. This year, I still like the goodies, but think I have found a nice balance with working out that I don't feel the need for goodies everyday. Found that I LOVED getting up early for Insanity and now for TurboFire and never, ever thought I'd enjoy getting up early for anything other than running.

A year ago I would have planned my birthday around food and booze.
This year I have booked in a 6km charity run and to climb the sydney harbour bridge.
  • Last year: Your canceling on our walk! Oh sure that's just fine! (YES!!!)

Now: Your canceling on our jog? I can't believe you!

I'd avoid the mirror, the camera, and when it came to my weight, I'd be Scarlett: "After all, tomorrow is another day."

    Or after Christmas ...

This time last year I would have snatched another two mince pies, cold meat, sausage rolls, chocolates, christmas cake - anything I could get away with snatching without being seen and go and eat them in secret and feel terrible physically and emotionally afterwards.

Now I will choose to eat these things in moderation and in company and also because I have already exercised or I know I am going to soon and have already worked out my calorie count.

I am one stone lighter than last year and working on the next one.

Today I made myself a healthy and clean low cal dinner before going to a friend's bbq thing, and didn't eat a single thing at the party. I would NEVER have done this a year ago!! SO PROUD :blushing:

Same here! I am great at enjoying a party now without eating.
