I am hoping you guys can help me by answering this question....
Situation: You are a Newlywed and your spouse wants to spend New Year's Eve with you and their group of friends (He/She sees friends once or twice a week) at a restaurant that has a dance floor etc.
Any problems with this? (I can add more details if required)
**New Year's Eve in this situation should be spent with........
A) Loved One only
Loved One with friends
**please pretend that you are the person in the situation described above if you can
Thank you :flowerforyou:

Loved one with friends. The more friends, the better.0

My partner and I never do anything for NYE because we HAVE NO FRIENDS. If you have the opportunity, BE WITH FRIENDS!0

There's no problem with that! You can't keep your loved one all to yourself, and hanging out with a group is great on New Years- especially if it's a chance to get to know your spouse's friends. You can still have that New Years kiss0

Loved one with friends. It's New Year's Eve, not Valentine's Day0

I would prefer A... perhaps B... but I am single.
I spent those days with my kids for years, but now they are old enough to go to friends...
Going to bed early is another option... but not the one I really want...0 -

Thre isn't any particular way New Year's Eve SHOULD be spent. I am assuming you wouldn't be posting this question unless you had an issue with the way your spouse would like to spend New Year's Eve, but my only point is, there is no rule about how to spend the evening.
I don't like crowds or people in general, so to answer the question, I would take either A or B, as long as it was at home and only a small group of people that I actually like.0 -

Irrelevant premise if boiled down to its essence. You have your midnight kiss in place, which is what really matters.0
-
i'd say B but where are your friends..I think you should be able to spend with yours also..0
-
I think you should spend New Years eve with the one you love, but being in the company of friends at the same time makes it a party and a celebration, rather than just a night x0

Loved one & Friends0

For me it would B,
I hope you have a great time however you spend it though!0 -
I would do A because well there's a story....0

^Yep0 -
A... I don't like going out. I have to work late new years eve anyway. I wouldn't mind having a get together with friends at someone's home but I don't want to go to some stupid *kitten* club and dance.0

For myself I vote C: Jared Padalecki. :bigsmile:0

B! I'll be with my man and friends...good times!0

B.
We weren't invited to any parties this year and I'm bummed. We always have so much fun when we go out. This year it's just going to be the two of us and it will be a great night but I'll still be a little sad.0 -
I say whom ever your more comfortable with. I enjoy being alone with my husband or being with him and our friends. I know my brother and his wife are spending their first New Years together with friends and family.0
-
Either, but I always imagined New Years spent with friends and your other half....it's a party, right?!0
-
B
Save a for Valentine's Day.
NYE is about groups of people drinking and having a great time.0 -
Honestly it is up to the person but if it was me, and my husband wanted to spend NYE with me and friends i would be up for it because celebrating the new year with your loved ones and friends is great and at the end of the night you home together and alone anyway and in the future you will have a great memory and later on you may not have time to spend with those friends so its good to spend time with them while you can.0
-
Either is great, it's personal preference.
If you prefer one thing and your spouse prefers another, could you agree to take it year about? Or one year loved one and their friends, one year loved and your friends, one year cosy night for two.0
