I'd love to become a professional artist, but if I could...I'd want to go into acting. I can be a crazy dreamer sometimes.

I started my career doing medical billing maybe 24 years ago, not really knowing anything...had to figure out how to do it on my own...in fact, I had never even sat down at a computer before, so I had to learn what that was too....I figured it out on my own....and grew to love the profession....I only had a 1 1/2 year break from this during this time, when the CEO of the company decided he wanted to cut costs and outsource the billing...(by the way, the people that took over the billing NEVER even opened the boxes and the company went bankrupt)..... I spent 1 1/2 year first as a gas attendent then as the MGR, at a local gas station...then I was offered another position (the previous program manager came to see me), and I immediately gave a weeks notice, even before I went for the interview...again, new software and billing problems...I figured out why the clinic only was getting about 15% of their services paid, fixed the problem, and immediately, got 98% claims pd.....so again I showed that I can figure out issues and get them resolved...I began to get a name for myself...and of course I really liked having job security...after 4 years at this clinic (it was Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse Outpatient clinic)...there was some issue between the CEO of the company paying the claims and our manager...and they refused to pay...they were taken to court and ordered to pay, then they appealed it and that judge said "no you don't"...that went on back and forth for maybe 6 months or so...finally we ran out of money to fight, and had to close down....I went on unemployment for a few weeks and then I got a call from the Program Director of the equivilent clinic out on the local REZ...they wanted me to come to interview...there were 3 programs closely related that I would be billing for..(The payer of the claims was the same agency that put the other clinic out of business)...this clinic also had issues with not much getting paid....but for this clinic, it was just starting out, and the therapist didn't want to do the required paperwork... so I had to educate them on this issue...(4 years ago the 3 clinics combined into one) anyway this clinic has grown from just a few therapists... now there is a total of 85 employees, and I do the billing for it all of them.....I have been there 15 years and love the respect, honor, pay, benefits, job security, and all that I do...It has a great future for me and anyone who might like to try it

so I would say that I am in my dream job right now!!!!

I currently like what I do and it was what I always wanted to do....IT Infrastructure operations role.... But now am wondering if this is what I want to do for the rest of my life....so I am toying with the idea of doing some more study and becoming a naturopath or dietician.

I truly enjoy my job as a church secretary. I get to work with so many wonderful people! I truly loved my previous job in purchasing as weel. One thing I like to do is source unique things that others cannot seem to find.. so, perhaps I'd like to be some sort of buyer of unique items. I would also love to be paid as a genealogist.. so much fun to dig into people's family trees!
  • Chef or baker. I love cooking and baking and am very passionate about it. And I'm going to do one of them
  • Fantasy author! I've been writing since I was a kid, and to be a successful author of fantasy would be amazing.

Slightly more realistic would be to do my hobbies full-time and get paid for it. I'm training to be able to make some additional income from it, but not sure I'll ever actually get there.

My ideal job was real estate and business broker.
It allowed me to set my own hours, do my own thing and make more money.
My goal was to retire at age 50.

Something that helps people and is low stress but pays enough. Don't know what that is, but it would be nice.

Actually I have my dream job as an appraiser working from home. Sometimes I help people because most of what I do is privately contracted work when people have a need. I love being able to be out and about and use a treadmill desk and lift weights on breaks. If it paid better it would be ideal, but it is a great job. Learning the commercial side now. Should help for the future. Have been involved in real estate for 28-years. Oh, and starting to instruct too. Love that!
  • Real Estate developer/Interior Design. I love old homes and in my city, it breaks my heart to see these beautiful colonials, victorians, western style bungalows fallin to ruin. I've always loved decorating and taking the old and making it new again.

I want to act. I used to (stage) and miss it.

If fame and fortune isn't in my forecast than I'd like to be an embalmer. People pickler. I worked in a funeral home and LOVED it.
