I have been lifting weights with my two daughters for the last several months and today I was asked how much can the average woman bench? What's a good strength goal for a woman? As a Dad I have no clue how to answer, could I get some help ladies? My daughters are both teens.

I've read and heard this many times as well. Though I rather do a push-up challenge than bench; I'm 112 lb and my current routine has me at 4 sets of 8-10 reps at 85lbs. I am not really concerned with my 1 rep max.0 -

That first one is a bit convoluted and as more about endurance that strength.
Another one to look at is

It shows your hypothetical 1RM and gives you a guide as to your level.0 -

The strength standards link someone posted is quite good.
From my own experience, I remember it took about 5 months after I first started lifting to hit 40kg (88lbs) 1RM. I was 18 at the time. That was my first main goal.
My 2nd main goal all throughout lifting was to reach 60kg (132lbs) I achieved that about a month ago. (1 years training when I was 18, then 9 months off completely, then around 2.5 years after that consistent training) That's how long it took me to reach 60kg. Felt like forever, but so worth it to get that number!0 -
