74lbs down - 7lbs past my original goal weight! Pics ♥

So when I first joined MFP, I shared my story on here. I had lost about half my weight on my own, without counting calories. Just watching what I ate and began to work out! I came here to get the last half of the weight off, and boy did it work! I have lost 74lbs total and feel amazing. I love when I put on pants that fit me a year ago, I pick them up and they just fall right back down! I went from a size 14 to a size 2/4.

I have never been a thin girl. I have been overweight since I was in elementary school. My sister was always stickly thin, and I was the pudgy younger sister. I never felt as loved as her, never felt as pretty...I felt like my family favored her over me!

In high school I shot up and evened out a little bit. I still was overweight, but I was okay with my body. I gained a lot of weight after high school when I got a desk job. When I say a lot, I mean about 40lbs. I reached my own worst night mare, and made it over 200lbs, and at 5'7" that was completely unacceptable. I was looking at pictures my dad posted on Facebook of myself and my sister when we visited her at college, I couldn't believe I let myself go that bad.

I changed my diet, started working out with a personal trainer, and doing cardio...and after a little over a year...and lots of struggles and tears...I surpassed my original weight loss goal of 135lbs and am now down to 128lbs! My body fat% started at around 35% and has now dropped to 17%! I feel amazing! Here is a visual of my transformation

....and glad I lost weight when I did. My boyfriend of 4 years proposed to me in July, now I don't have to do crazy crash diets before my big day! :flowerforyou:

But the journey doesn't end here....it NEVER ends. I am in this for life :happy:

and oh yea, if you were wondering! I am the same size as my sister now, and we get asked if we are twins every time we are together :laugh:
