Enell is the only sports bra that I will ever buy again. Hooks up the front, incredibly supportive too! Pricey, but I still have the first one I purchased 5 years ago!

Exactly what I was going to say!

I'm a 34GG (uk size) so they're BIG, next to no movement in this. Did a triathlon in it a while ageo, swam in it and no rub for cycle or run either.

I just got an Enell and I love it. We do refer to it either as my valkyrie bra or my Wonder Woman bra because I have a weird line that shows through my T shirt. I only wear it to work out. I'm pretty cheap about buying clothes but I bit the bullet on the Enell because someone recommended looking on Ebay. Everything I found was new stock that was being liquidated. Other than that I've done the two bra thing. I also found that herroom.com was good for figuring out the mess that is bra sizing, even comparing US and UK sizes.

Depends on how busty you actually are and what kind of activity you are doing. I'm a 36F and I have tried a lot of the bras listed, probably to the tune of a total of $800 or so, and they work fine for lower impact stuff (I like Enell and Panache). But when it comes to running, I have just resigned myself to triple-strapping them down -- a regular bra + sports bra + athletic tank with built in support. Not so bad once you get used to it.

I just found a sports bra at Walmart for $13.95 that does have the clasps in the back, and goes up to a 42DD (that's as big as I saw). It SAYS it's high impact. I'm somewhere between a 42DD and a 42DDD and it actually fits well, and I wouldn't say that it's HIGH impact but it does offer good enough support that I could run with it.

Crap....for the size, support, and less than $14 I was ecstatic!

LOLZ at anything Victoria's Secret being considered terribly "busty". Seriously though.....I'll admit that I'm jealous and miss VS.

Under Armour makes one that actually comes in cup sizes (I'm a DD). I run in it and have no problems in addition, there is no uniboob.

My other favorite is the Adidas ClimaLite bra.

    Agree. Love the under armor

This is just a general query, but ...
are there any other rather top heavy girls out there?
i need help with getting a decent sports bra that will give me support whilst doing high impact exercise and running!
i'm not sure of what makes i should be looking out for?! HELP!

I don't know if I count since I'm a slim frame but I'm a 28DD. I highly highly recommend Moving Comfort Juno specifically...not the rest of the moving comfort series, tho many swear by them, my bounce test couldn't compare to juno. I also recommend the champion one that feels the same (material wise, but not fit wise)...can't remember the name of it. I say this as a slim girl with big cups, it's not really the same if you're thicker everywhere. If you're thicker everywhere then I'll point out enells since they're so popular (but ever so ugly). I'll also mention looking into lynx bras...I've had very few people mention them but those who do seem to love them. They're also fairly new and come in 'different' sizing then your typical cup and band sizes.

The problem about asking for recommendations is that people are different shapes and sizes. They also have different experiences. Someone who hasn't owned a lot of bras may think something is fantastic when compared to someone who has tried it all, may think their option is crap, even if they're the same shape and size.

Same problem 40 DDD. Read on here about Moving Comfort and decided to give it a try...it was well worth it I went to a 36DD it is snug as a bug not uncomfortable and does not look like a uniboob! I love the Fiona Moving Comfort bra!!! It is very flattering and keeps me in place as I run a lot. Wouldn't wear anything else!!! Thank you for whoever told me about it!!!! cost approx $40...but worth it!!!!
