    Crock pot pulled pork

    1 small pork tenderloin (rinse if you are buying anything with a sauce on it)
    1 two-liter of root beer
    1-2 cups barbecue sauce (depending on taste)

    Place tenderloin in crock pot and fill with root beer. Cook on low for 8 hours or so until tenderloin shreds easily. Shred pork with serving fork then drain. Replace pork in crock pot and top with barbecue sauce and let simmer on low heat for 1 hour.

    These make delicious sandwiches and serves about 6-8 depending on how much you like.

    This website may have been included already in this post, but I haven't read through all. A Year of Slow Cooking is the greatest crockpot cooking site I have ever seen. Here is a link to the alphabetical listing of recipes: http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2007/12/alphabetical-listing-of-recipes.html

    Black Beans
    1 onion, chopped
    2 -3 cloves of garlic, chopped
    1 poblano pepper, chopped
    1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
    (additonal dried peppers chopped if you like)
    1 bag of dried black beans, rinsed
    3 -4 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, chopped (or use the entire can like i do)

    Throw all ingredients in the slow cooker, cover with water or low sodium chicken broth.

    Cook on low for 8-12 hours (overnight works for me)

    I will en blend up half the bean mixture, add more chikcen stock or water and you have a really rich and flavorful black bean soup.

    I use basically the same recipe minus the poblano, and it's delicious. Good post!

    Thanks so much for sharing all these recipes! I can't wait to try some of them.

    My all time favorite slow cooker recipe is...

    Roast with Tators and Carrots
    You will need....
    * Rump or bottom round roast
    * 4 cans tators
    * 4 cans carrots
    * everglades seasoning
    * seasoned meat tenderiazer
    *2 cups water

    place roast in slow cooker...sprinkle seasonings over roast. Add the water. Cook on low 5 hours. Add tators in and cook another hour. Then add carrots and cook another 30 mins to hour.

    Not really a healthy recipe but you could easily make it healthy!

    here are my fav (and whole 30/paleo approved)

    For all these recipes, if you prep them and put them in the crockpot the night before and have it marinade in fridge overnight it tastes MUCH better :D

    Chili

    1.5lbs of grass fed ground beef

    1 green pepper

    1 large yellow onion

    1 red pepper

    1 yellow pepper

    1 tsp of chili powder

    1 tsp of cumin

    1 tsp pepper

    1tsp kosher salt

    1 cup of pure pumpkin

    1 cup beef broth

    chop onion and peppers (set aside)

    brown meat in pan

    drain grease

    cook onions and peppers in pan for 5 minutes

    Add meat and pepper mix to crockpot

    add spices, broth and pumpkin

    Stir

    cook in crockpot on low for 6 hours

    Chicken Soup:

    4 large chicken breast

    5 cups chicken stock

    3 cups chopped carrots

    3 cups chopped celery

    2 large yellow onions

    *add mushrooms or other vegies you like

    Place chicken on bottom of crock pot

    Add stock and vegies over chicken

    Cook on low for 2-2.5 hours (time varies for crock pot. Mine is done by 2 hours). Remove chicken and shred. Return to crockpot and cook on warm for 1 hour.

    Hot Chicken

    3 large chicken breast

    2 cups coconut milk (unsweet, plain)

    1 cup hot sauce (check ingredients, no sugar. I use aldi brand)

    Place chicken on bottom of crock pot

    Add milk and sauce

    Cook on low for 2-2.5 hours. Remove chicken and shred. Return to crockpot and cook on warm for 30 minutes.
