No room for excuses

  • Single Mom.... 3 kids, work a full time job in the military and a part time job on my days off. YES! Sometimes it is torture dragging my tired rear to my treadmill or to the tiny gym I have in my basement. BUT, I made a decision to take care of ME! I made a decision to be healthy. I made a decision to LOVE what is reflected back at me when I look in the mirror. These decisions are what MAKES me drag my tired self down there. Or to do an extra walking patrol during my shift. Or go and do push ups and sit ups before I jump in the shower. Would it be easier to just go to bed? YES! Would it be easier to make a million and one excuses about how my kids keep me busy with dance, band, and sports? YES! But then I wouldn't stay true to the commitment I made to myself to do what it takes to look in the mirror and LOVE my reflection!

i get so scared that Im making excuses that I hurt myself trying to prove I dont hold back even for legitimate reasons.

    Yeah, I do that too.

    I'm learning, though. :)
