I want a booty!

Does anybody know any exercises that will help me get a nice booty? I'm already watching what I eat and I do low impact exercises such as walking. It'll be nice to have a nice rear end back there.

  • Squats are amazing. I've been doing the elliptical and it has made my booty more round instead of the pancake it used to be.

    Weight training, and specifically weighted squats. I've gone from a flat pancake to round and perky back there.

    squaaaaaats! also at the gym there's a machine which i think is called arc something.. you sort of step and your legs go in an arc shape? anyway, the one at my gym you can change how deep the steps are, and if you do big steps it works your bum muscles really well :)

    If you have access to stairs anywhere they are also great for building the booty :-) Run (or walk) up and down some flights each day - you will definitely feel it. Good luck!

    Never had booty before untill i started doing squats with weights and using the ellipitical my booty looks great. Trust me it works.

    If you don't have free weights access for whatever reason, BW walking lunges are killer if you do them fast enough, and a lot of them.

    In October I had a pancake butt, now I have a nice round booty. In that time I have gone from 60# squats to 120# squats.

    that was me just this past May. Lately I've gotten some compliments on my booty!! The specific compliments were that I had "hooker butt" (ok) and that my butt was "high". I never thought it would be a favorite body part but I'm loving it!!

    I'd say the best things that are helping are:
    power class - it has lots of squats, dead lifts & lunges
    biking hills or a hill program - where you literally have to stand up to pedal up the hill
    I also run, but I've run before and that hasn't built up my booty

    And I agree. Squats. Squats and deadlifts and to some extent, yoga have helped my butt go from pancake flat to round-ish. I'm a work in progress.
