calories in a whole chicken without skin?

I'm thinking of buying rotisserie chicken, removing the skin, and just eating pieces of it over the course of 3 days -- seems like an easy way to eat a low calorie, decent tasting food without much effort.

Anyone know how many calories a whole chicken normally has if the skin is removed? I'm guessing the cooking process doesn't add any as any oil will go on the skin, which I'll be removing?

This is the only link I could find which says 1037; that seems a bit low to me though

That's as good a source as any - Livestrong. It's really dependent on the size of the chicken. Just measure individual servings, if you eat it that way. You're not eating the whole chicken in one sitting, are you?

not eating the whole chicken; just thought I'd average out the estimated total over the #of meals -- due to the uneven mix of white/dark meat I sort of assumed the per serving numbers that some sites (including myfitnesspal) have woul be off.

Actually rethinking it -- I just finished one now over 4 meals; the 1000-1100 range could be right.

It's not added oil that is the issue, it's the fat under the skin that cooks onto/ into the meat. You are removing some fat with the skin but not all of it. A whole chicken is not only three servings of meat unless it is a very small chicken or you are a very large guy or indeed both - that is where the calories are going to come from, lack of portion control.
