I'm about to go on a 3 night bahamas cruise, and should be getting a Kindle Fire in the mail anyday... Any suggestions of a good book series to put on it for the trip?

    The Hunger Games Trilogy

And I've really enjoyed the Lucas Davenport series. It's about 20 books long (maybe more). It's a crime/mystery series. I've read about 7 books so far and it's pretty good!

A Song of Ice and Fire - 5 books out of 7 completed.

You may know it as "Game of Thrones" (book 1)

    The southern vampire mysteries.

It is the series that Trueblood was based on (it is not the same story) - easy to read, reasonably short books - there are 12 of them, with number 13, the last one in the series, due out in May.

It's not a series, but Gone Girl is a fantastic thriller, smart and clever. Highly recommended, and a really compelling read.

Pillars of the Earth series by Ken Follett

    Pillars of the Earth (1989)
    World Without End (2007)
3rd book hasn't been released yet

Don't do 50 Shades... I'm on book 2 now and it's ridiculously boring.

I can't remember the name of the series, but the authoer is Stieg Larsson and it starts with The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, then The GIrl Who Played With Fire, and the last one is (I think) The GIrl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest. I'm on book two, and am really enjoying them even though they aren't my usual "type" of book.

If you enjoy Fantasy....The Legend of Drizzt is a classic (between 12 to 24 books in total) if you follow it all. by R.A Salvatore

    How fun!

Pillars of the Earth - Ken Follet
The Sparrow - Mary Doria Russell
    Outlander - Diana Gabaldon
Pope Joan - Donna Woolfolk Cross

    anything by Ken Follet
anything by John Sandford - the Lucas Davenport series - they all can stand on their own (you don't have to read them in order!)
    anything by Jodi Picoult

    Conn Iggulden

The Conqueror Series (about Ghengis Khan and his family).

The Emperor Series (about Roman emperors).

    I loved both of these.

Get an easy read and not something super complicated that you really need to remember details to follow the story. Too many great things to do in a cruise and reading time is very minimal, maybe while sun bathing. Could be something like The Black Knights, inc by Julie Ann Walker, KGI series by Maya Banks, Psy/Changeling series by Nalini Singh, Wicked Games by Jill Myles, or even Hollowland by Amanda Hocking (Free) if you like post-apocalyptic and zombies kind of stories. Have Fun!!! Cruises are awesome!
