I've seen so many people on here with such amazing results with also so much weight lost!! I only have 28lbs to go and it's so difficult!! I jus can't take it off!!! I've been on here since August!! Only 9lbs lost! Some people have lost 40-50lbs! Why is it not working for me!! Just feel like giving up at times!

Your journal is private - you may want to make it public for us to offer advice. If not, I just wanted to wish you future success!0

9 pounds seems like a nice, slow, healthy loss over that time frame. It's not a race, so as long as you are still losing weight, you are on the right track. I've lost 61 pounds, but that's in almost a year, and lately I have intentionally upped my calories and slowed my loss to a crawl because I have started lifting weights.0

People who don't have as much to lose, lose it slower. 9lbs since August is great.0

I've not lost a single pound in 6 weeks!! Should I be worried?? X0 -
your diary's still private. as long as you're eating healthy, not starving yourself and exercising it'll come off. i haven't lost anything in well over a month but i'm not worried.0

What is your average gross calorie intake?
How accurately are you measuring/weighing/logging your food
How much do you exercise and how active are you in the day?0 -

Are you losing inches? That's more important anyway. What's your workout routine like? Your diary's still private. I doubt you should be worried, but we need more info to help.0 -
You might also want to consider that you may have lost some inches, even if you don't see a difference on the scale. Did you take measurements when you started this journey that you could compare today's to?0

I have gone into settings and changed it too everyone to see! Is that correct to take if off private?0 -
We're all different. Somebody who is more overweight and has worse eating habits will lose weight more quickly when they make changes than somebody who has less weight to lose and already has pretty good habits.
You're doing better than me. I've only lost about 22 pounds over the last 4 years. But hey - it's a loss. I'll take it!0 -
Your food diary is still not visible. You have to make it public if you want feedback on it.0

At the start I lost 9 lbs in two months and lost 2inches! Now I've been the same since!0 -
I had the same amount of weight to lose. Took me 8 months. Dont worry about it. EXERCISE every day.0

Any advice diary is viewable! I was advised before to increase my calories to about 1400!!0

I have similar problem. I want to lose 8 kilos in total. When I tried this before I always lost 2-3 kilos and then it stopped and then I stopped trying.
The thing is the more kilos (pounds) you have the faster will you lose, especially in the beginning. Most of the people have problems with that last 5-10 kilos so we will just have to be persistent.0 -
Okay, I've had a look at your diary going a few days back, and I would guess you are not eating enough.
You need to be eating enough to convince your body that it does not need to hang on to fat or water. Eating under 1,000 calories a day is most likely not enough for your height and weight.0 -
1. I'm finding a lot of days where you didn't track your food. How do you know that you are hitting your targets if you don't track?
2. I'm also seeing a lot of days that are only partially tracked (I hope. If you are really having days where you only eat 100 or 300, please speak to a doctor about your calorie intake).
3. You don't seem to be eating enough most days. A lot of the days that do seem to be fully tracked only show between 600 and 1000 calories. Your body needs food to function and giving it enough is important for weight loss.0 -
According to your diary your have been eating less than 1200 cal - some days as little as 600...Either you are not logging everything and thus eating more than you think, or you are seriously undereating....That will definitely slow and stop your weightloss....0
-
What are your stats? ht, wt, activity level? 1270 cals maybe too low, especially with not too many lbs to go0
-
Your profile says you have a 1 yr old and also had a miscarriage 4 months ago. You're going through the same thing as i am. I have a 15 month old, and ive been at the same weight since after he was born. It's hormones.0

Think about your carb intake. I noticed the "Qaker Oats - Syrup" you're logging some morning is showing zero carbs, that cam't be right. No carbs for broccoli? Not correct.
I know mentioning carbs is like opening a can of worms on the site, but they matter. Your carbs seems high for your calorie intake, just a thought.
Good luck!0 -
For example: I can eat my recommended caloric intake, exercise (cardio and strength) for one hour per day, but if i so much as eat a grain of salt over my allowance, i blow up like a balloon. A diuretic hasnt even worked.0
