    Speaking from personal observation.

    My bros and myself ::
    -- Tend to focus on eating more protein and hitting our macros. Low to moderate gi foods (no packaged foods) for the most part. Hi gi foods only during gym time. Tend to stict with one meal plan and work around it (i.e. never experimenting with the latest diet).
    -- Exercise for a purpose/goal. During the weekdays, weight lifting and moderate cardio (30 minute running sessions). During the weekends, long runs, no or light weights.
    -- Recognize us guys come in all shapes and sizes (strong types, obese/sumo types, weak/stick types).

    The women I knew and met ::
    -- To to focus on hi gi carbs, low fat, low protein. Always experimenting with the latest diet.
    -- Cardio queens. Impression appears to me to be that if they exercise a bit more longer, the weight will disappear.
    -- Trying to live up to an image which media portrays.
    -- More estrogen which promotes more fat storage.
