I wanted to share this video with you guys... turned out I was over-cooking my eggs!

Eggs used to be the one thing I struggled with (I'm a soft-boiled fan - runny yolk, mmmn)
Did a bit of googling and now use this (for soft boiled)
Boil water in pan. Add eggs in gently with a spoon (so they dont crack)
Boil for 1 minute
Switch gas off, and cover pan
For firm white and soft yolk, leave eggs in water for a further 7 mins
For soft white and runny yolk, leave eggs in water for 6 mins0 -
I think hard boiled eggs are pretty easy. I love soft boiled eggs! Those are more of a balancing act because if you under cook they are raw but if you over cook they go from soft to hard boiled0

if the yolk turns green you're overcooking. I boil for 10 minutes and then do the ice bath... I never get green yolks0

I cover the eggs with water and put on to boil. When the water begins to boil, I remove the pot from the heat, put a lid on it and set the timer for 20-22 minutes. When time is up, rinse under cold water just until you can handle and peel. NJoy!
This is how I do it too! Never have a problem with green yolks or sticky shells. :flowerforyou:0
