Nope, chose mine VERY carefully0

Nope, they are part of me now. Every one has a story from my life behind it. Maybe not an epic story but some kind of memory for me!0
-
I can admit that, yes I did. I actually had one removed a few years ago.0
-
Just don't get a persons name on you. That's all. It's covered up now. Lol.0

No, I got my first one when I was 16 which was 30 years ago. Two months ago I got it recolored and got a second tattoo which is a tramp stamp with my husband's name on it.
LOL @ neverstray, perfect timing! My husband and I have been together for 23 years, so I had no problem getting his name put on me. He had my name put on his tattoo on his arm at the same time.0 -
Yep. my first I got when I was far too young, and just picked one off the board for the sake of it. It looks very much like a squashed frog... planning a cover up when I reach my goal weight.0

My ex husband got my name on his arm. We were divorced within 3 months. Is that the kiss of death? I've heard of this before.0

Not so far! But that's largely the placing - it's on my lower back/ hip so is only really seen if I'm in a bikini.0

Nope, not in the slightest.0

Nope- they both mean something to me that will always be a part of my life. They are both small and on my back though so I won't ever have to get tired of looknig at them :laugh:0

Just got my first and I love it. Can't wait for my second.0

I was married 10. Got the tat, 4 years later she asked for a divorce. Never saw it coming. So, I thought it was cool. I just say that's one thing you never do.0 -
The first one I got I actually drew myself, it was a pair of dolphins. It was cool when I was 18 and even in my 20's but into my 30's, not so much. I had it covered up with a dolphin that looks real opposed to cartoonish. It came out awesome.0

Wow! I never heard that. But, maybe. Lol0 -
Nope love mine but, I didn't get my first one till I was twenty, decided what I wanted and where on my body I wanted it at nineteen then waited one year before I got it. I didn't get my second one till I was 34 and I knew what I wanted and where for several years before finally doing it.0

yep, hate it, wish I never got it0

No. Sometimes I regret the placement of one (back of neck), but not the art itself. I got it done when I had long(er) hair and didn't need to worry about hiding it. Since then, I've gotten a pixie. Now I have to grow out my AWESOME pixie because it looks like I'll be graduating soon and want the option of hiding it for interviews. Hopefully I'll get a kick-@$$ job that doesn't care about tats and I can cut my hair short again.0

I definitely wouldn't have gotten his name put on me at that point in our marriage, just because we had some issues back then.
I wouldn't suggest that anyone else have someone's name tattooed on them unless they are absolutely certain that the person is someone that they will be spending the rest of their life with. My husband and I are absolutely certain. But we've got lots of years invested in each other.0 -
No you got to pick something that means something to you then you will0

I have one that is going to be altered/covered up with my next tattoo. I wouldn't say that I regret it because it meant something to me at the time but we all change as we grow as individuals. I want my ink to reflect who I've become, not who I was.0

Nope! I got mine when I was 19, and yes it is the cliche tramp stamp. But honestly I did put a lot of thought into it since it was a (mostly) permanent decision. I chose a place that wouldn't change much with pregnancy, weight gain or wrinkles. I also chose a place that is easily covered so I would never have trouble professionally. An added bonus is that I have to make an effort to look at it, so I can't stare at it every day and pick out all of the flaws.
And 11 years later, I'm still very happy with my choice, every time I see it I like it. One of these days I'll get around to getting another one0 -
Not at all. I've got mixed emotions about the reasons behind getting my first one (won't get into the sob story, let's just say lesson learned) but I still really like it and don't regret getting it.0

I have been searching for a job recently and I learned that although they still don't like piercings tattoos are more accepted now. I interviewed in a skirt that didn't cover the one on my calf and the one on my arm reaches a little to my hand. They had no problem with it. (Got the job BTW!)0 -

Good to hear! I'm also really dreading having to take out my nose ring. And dye my hair a "natural" color.0
