The thick consistency means the calorie count is disproportionately high. It's playing with fire to allow that many extra calories in your diet.

I only wipe it away first if I feel there is a very real and imminent threat to the coagulated ketchup actually coming off and/or interfering with the fresh ketchup. Otherwise, I leave it there.

Please note that any remarks about not liking ketchup or that it should be spelled "catsup" will promptly be reported to the site moderators as "Attacking/Insulting other users". Thank you.

The difference in spelling was not in disagreement that it should be spelled that way, it was simply spelled differently than you.

Warm, wet paper towel around the tip.

I want nothing crusty on my hot dog.

It's got to go by whatever method works for you. I have thrown away fresh bread because of accidental mustard water leakage, so I check and shake everything now.

I save the coagulated ketchup chunks for a snack. Quite delicious.

Ketchup doesn't coagulate on the rim of the bottle, because I wipe it off as soon as it's been misplaced. It's sloppy to close the lid on it and leave it for someone else. Rude, too!

Well, Miss Manners, not EVERYONE is living in a PALACE where ketchup does not coagulate. I suppose your housekeeper does this for you when your butler is too busy running your bath. Hmph.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....LMAO
