I turn a crank now and again - slowly and painfully - but I do try.

After years of being an avid cycling fan i decided to buy myself a new bike -Cube Acid, have to say i love it! Really looking forward to some decent weather so i can get out 4-5 times a week rather than the 1-2 at the moment- Snows not good for cycling:laugh:

My aim is to hit 50--60 mile rides as well as some off road frolics

    Fell free to add me

I started cycling for the first time in May. It was a great summer logging 1,100 miles. Can't wait for spring to get back out there.

I got back into biking by incorporating it into my daily commute. Do about 100miles a week and want to do my first 100mile (in a day) ride this year. Would be interested to hear your story and your journey back to the century. Currently riding a Specialised Rockhopper (with road tyres), but going to upgrade to a cross in the next few months.

Yay for cyclists! I've done a few centuries and some short tours. Looking forward to more. Do a search through the Groups as there are a couple for cyclists.

I'd ride all year if I wasn't such a weenie about the cold weather. So I just ride on the trainer and watch Netflix.

I'm looking for other cyclists to buddy up with. I used to be quite the avid cyclists, doing a few century rides a year, and a ton of charity rides, but then life got in the way. I want this year to be different!! Yes, I logged a few hundred miles last year, but nothing like I used to do, and I've found that I REALLY miss cycling several times a week. Any other cyclists want to be my friend? :)

I recently, roughly 4 months ago took to my bicycle, reluctantly, after Specialist told me that was not only the best exercise for my skeletal issues but the ONLY one after achilles tendon repair unsuccessful.
Now I love my riding and np to do 25klm , ride most days and am joining ''Mad Cyclogists'' for social rides , up to 100klm (maybe a little while off yet, lol)
Found it exhilarating and my time to reflect and enjoy!
Add me if anyone wishes to.
BTW 55 yo female in OZ

Yep, another one here! It's right in the middle of summer here and the weather has been awesome for cycling - the only thing stopping me from doing more k's has been uni. Feel free to add me!

    Hi
I will be taking up cycling just as soon as I figure out a decent bike to buy, beg, borrow or steal! I used to cycle 20 miles a day, a long, long time ago so feel like I'll be starting from scratch again. Have been challenged to a 56 mile charity bike ride in July and can't wait to get started. So if anyone wants to friend me, that would be great. Could do with your advice and support on my new project.
Thanks to the OP for bringing up this thread!

I just recently got a new bike (the one in my pic) and a trainer so I can even ride my bike in the house. I LOVE cycling and especially living in NYC, it seems the be the fastest way to get around.. I'm hoping to become obsessed with it this spring/summer since I didnt get a bike until late in the summer last year and now I am starting out the nice weather with one!
