Hi
I'm just wondering what to have for dinner.
I have 428 cals left....plenty....but what would YOU do with it...
Just to clarify - I'm not worried by the amount - its 3pm on a Friday and I'm passing time ;-)

That's usually what my dinner is. Look at my diary for ideas.0

You could have a very large salad with lots of veggies and some lean meat for well under 428 calories.0

Hi
I'm just wondering what to have for dinner.
I have 428 cals left....what would you do?
I do a stir fry (that's extremely filling) with 6 oz chicken breast, onion, mushrooms, broccoli, asparagus, jalapeno, red pepper and some rice for about 450 calories. Don't stress if you go over, make up for it by taking a walk or something.0 -
428 Calories is very manageable! Eat a lean piece of meat, I love Chicken Breast baked with some lemon pepper or Sun Dried Tomato Marinade. 6 oz is around 150-200. Then eat some veggies ( I love Green beans). And some Jasmine Or Basmati rice, or brown rice. I can have 6 oz chicken, 1 can of green beans, and 3/4 cup of basmati rice for 410 calories.0

grilled chicken breasts and a side salad. chicken breasts are around 150 each... and the salad would be the remaining calories. Depending on what kind of dressing. There are tons of options for 428! You could have literally ANY veggie side. Last night I made turkey meatloaf, had mashed cauliflower (taste pretty much like potatoes) and green beans. All for a whopping 435 calories.0

372 Calories:
Salmon (about 75 grams) baked with 1/4 tblsp of butter, Mrs Dash Garlic Herb seasoning, Sea Salt, and Black Pepper
Betty Crocker Garlic Mashed potatoes (2/3 cup)
Corn (1/4 cup)
With ice water with sliced lemon and a sprig of rosemary.
Good Luck!0 -

Sounds really good. I only recently stopped being a veggie.... so still a bit unsure about cooking meat....0 -
I would make my homemade sweet potato soup (about 300 cals per serving) and a nice big fresh spinach salad, maybe with a piece of grilled salmon on it.0
-
1. Tilapia (100 +/-) , 1.5 cups of salad (40 +/-), 1/2 quinoa (110 +/-), Lemon juice for the salad ( 5 +/-), Weight watchers fudge pop snack size (45) = 300 cals
2. Chicken breast (130 +/- for 3oz), add salad or veggies, lemon juice for dressing = less than 200 cals
3. Chicken breast (130), Wrap (Ole Mexican is 74 cals), salad (20), Frank's buffalo sauce (0), Blue cheese dressing (120) = 344 cals
4. etc, etc, etc....
Many options: 428 calories for a meal is a good number.0 -
Chicken breast, a side, and some evening snacks.0

I'd go for half the Tilapia I have in the fridge (8 oz) a baked sweet potato, and brocolli. Should be right around that (even frying the fish in olive oil)0
-
4 egg whites + 1 whole egg.
Omelette with 1 cup of mushrooms, a handfull of spinach, and ricotta or cottage cheese.
1tbs olive oil. / 2 slices of avocado.0 -
I would have a 300cal salad - lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, fine green beans, a boiled egg and some new potatoes. Dressed with some caesar salad dressing (Cardini's light). The rest would go on G&Ts as it's a Friday....0

I'm cooking for guests tonight, and this is from Jamie Oliver's 15 minute meals, and comes in at around 600 clas, but you could reduce the amount of pasta and grill instead of fry the chicken. Or just have the pasta and sauce, and add a big green slad
Wholewheat fusili.
Tomato sauce made with grated leek, courgette, carrot and red pepper in a passata
Fried chicken, bacon and toasted pine nuts.0 -
6oz filet mignon - 305 calories
grilled veggies - 120 calories
And I'd probably hit the treadmill before hand to earn up enough calories for a beer to go with it!0 -
I would season a lean steak with some garlic, chilli and pepper granules, serve with some asparagus, spinach and brocolli and a couple of tablespoons of pepper sauce. YUM.
Then maybe a cheeky glass of wine to wash it down? It is Friday after all0 -
