I am doing great...knowing that there are others out there doing the shred really pushes me to do it :)

fivefatcats: NO need to justify.....look at the world we live in, the temptation to eat "bad" food is everywhere. I read once that you can not "eat clean" 100% of the time.....do it 90% and then treat yourself 10%....if we don't allow ourselves to live a little we would go crazy

What a day (and its only half over). I am so emotional!!

I run three days a week (mon, wed or thurs, and sat) so today I thought, "how easy it will be to just do the 20 minute shred" . . . NOT!!

the dog ate the kids lunches (off the kitchen table), the twin babies finally went for a nap and when I put in the DVD my 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 year old decided the wanted to exercise with me, which is great except the only DVD player my DVD works in is in their room, a 10x12 room with dresser, toy chest, TV stand and bunk bed. I mean I have to turn sideways to do the jumping jacks. I still have to get some 3 and 5 pound weights so I was using cans of spaghetti today. Talk about monkey see monkey do. My girls went to get soup cans to exercise with (I swapped them out for little mushroom cans), then fought over which cans belonged to whom. I couldn't decide whether to laugh or cry so I did both!

So here I am, exercising and crying because my numbers haven't moved in like 5 weeks, then getting irritated with myself for being upset with the insignificant numbers because every pair of pants I own fits better than they did 4 weeks ago and what do I have to complain about anyway?!?!

Why did God wire women so . . . . nuts!!!!!

fivefatcats: Thank you for sharing your story about your children!!! I just finished teachers college and I always said that about the younger students "monkey see monkey do"...I had a funny experience this week as well.
on the day that I took off from the SHRED I decided to do 15 min of stretching and 15 min of abs (from the Slim in 6 DVD) I am 10 min in and the DVD stops working...I advanced it on pause and continued to do the best I could....then the whole thing crashed...the min. that it crashed my mother called....so hardly any "abs" were worked out :( lol ....one day at a time!!!

do not fret....I hope you took measurements and a photo. Physical change is a lot more obvious then weight change. They say muscle weighs more then fat as well......also every single person has a different body. Your body may have adjusted to what you have been doing and you may have to "shock" your system by either eating differently, or changing your work out .....if you read http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/9433-expectations it should help :)

I sure hope I do not hit a plateau. I know the last time I tried this I was stuck around 165.
I know most of you are a week ahead of me so good luck with level 2!! Today will be the 10th time I do level 1 therefore level 2 is tomorrow for me. Looking forward to a change..

Keep up the great work everyone !! Happy SHREDDING!!

Great job just sticking with it everyone!!!

I feel surprisingly optimistic without my scale (I am, was, a serial weigher). Now I feel more like my actions over the course of a week affect my goals instead of my actions for each day. It is more motivating to not blow it on a single day - like tomorrow : dinner with the family and Easter Egg hunt.

Thank you challenge team for the motivation!!!

I decided that working out in the kids room is a mediocre plan at best so I purchased a complete Jillian 30 day shred set of DVDs off Amazon and they came today - hopefully these work in the regular DVD player!!

Regardless, I am still getting my running in three days a week. And good thing too after the eating I did this weekend!! Malted milk eggs will be the death of me!

Boy am I glad we weighed in yesterday and not today!!! We had company for dinner and on those rare occasions I experiment with new recipes - yesterday was no exception! I estimate I ate 500 calories over my limit, but some of those I'm sure I burned off since I cooked/cleaned/never sat down all day! By the time dinner was over I was wiped out (plain old tired plus sore from Biggest Loser workouts and getting a cold).

In my mind, it's good to have a 'cheat' day or just a 'day off'. I think it shakes up the body's routine too!

    Hang in there friends!

I really have had no time to shred and i do want to but ive been running since the morning till night . And the hubby is around all the time now so im trying to figure out how to do that one maybe ill make him do it with me that would be funny .

Anyone checking out my food log will see Friday was a no no day, but Saturday was a good day. Today (Sunday) was a day off.

Still fighting with the malted milk eggs . . .

Well I had a pretty good week. I mostly behaved (since the weekend) and finally got some results. My weigh-in today is 178.4!

I haven't quite reached my April 10th goal of 175, but I'm pretty happy to have finally broken that 180 plateau!!

I know I started about a week late so I was just wondering if you guys are all done?? How did everyone do??

Since I started late I am on day 3 of level 3....I am soooo happy to be done with all the plank work of level 2 :)

I hope everyone did well!!! Thanks for being there....out of the many times I have attempted to do the full 30 days this is the first time I have gotten this far and am excited to be finished next weekend......I wont be able to do my last 2 days because I am moving...but I am sure moving boxes up and down 3 flights of stairs will be enough workout haha.

    TAKE CARE EVERYONE
