My workday breakfast is a banana, a Cutie, 1/2 cup orange juice, Dave's Killer Bread, 21 Grain (seriously my favorite food right now) spread with a TBS of peanut butter. Weekends it's breakfast meat, eggs and Dave's with butter or margarine. If you spot Dave's Killer Bread in the store. you should try it. Awesome stuff.

I have either oatmeal with fruit and maple syrup, or vegan pancakes with maple syrup -- I make them before the week starts so I can quickly heat them in the mornings.

I love porridge - so this morning I had porridge cooked with half water, half semi-skimmed milk, with an apple cut up and stirred in, some cinnamon and some honey. Other mornings I'll mix in some berries or a banana. Keeps me full til lunch
  • 1/4 cup of steel cut oats and water its delicious!
  • Today....1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese, 1/2 cup no sugar added red grapefruit sections, coffee and half and half.

Other days...1 slice of toasted Arnolds Whole Grain Health Nut bread, 1 boiled egg, coffee and half and half.

1 cup of Fiber One cereal, 1 banana, 1/2 cup 1% milk, cofffee and half and half.

I usually rotate between these meals....very satifsying..

Usually a smoothie: 5 frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, handful leafy greens, 1 cup water, and 1 scoop protein powder

If I know it's going to be a long time until lunch or I'm going to be particularly active in the morning, I'll have one of quinoa porridge/oatmeal (still trying to find a way to prepare oatmeal that makes it palatable...) OR 2 scrambled eggs with 1/4 cup ricotta cheese with some fried tomatoes and mushrooms and spinach on the side.

Generally its one of 2 meals, fruit (plate full including berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries), cherries, orange, pear, melon of some sort, whatever fruit is in the house usually a variety of 4-6 fruits), nuts and yougart (my husband makes this for me every morning he is home, we eat a lot of fruit he adds cheese to his and we eat the same, we eat mostly whole foods, no processed with the exception of yougart, mostly and a few others).
And my other go to is smoothies 1 c almond milk, 2cups mixed berries or single flavor depending on mood, banana and 2 Tbsp natural almond butter or peanut butter.

I have 1/3 C egg beaters, 1/4 cup black beans and 1 T salsa, all mixed together in one pan. I used to just have the egg beaters but found that with the addition of black beans I stay full longer and get a little more protein without many calories.
  • Today I had Ezekiel bread English muffin toasted, with 2 soft poached eggs and wilted spinach and a little cracked pepper and a cup of hot, strong, black French Roast coffee.
  • Usually 40g of some nutty, fruity muesli mixed up with natural or flavoured yoghurt.
Sometimes, though, I feel more like porridge or egg, ham and cheese on a slice of toast.
These three are my standard breakfasts, I switch them every 3 days or so.

    Current favorite.

Barley, about 8 blackberries and 1 Tbs. of maple syrup with a hard boiled egg.
  • Oatmeal is my thing right now. That or cold cereal with soy milk which cuts the milk calories in half!

I was having trouble getting my protein in, so I decided to start having cottage cheese in the morning. I've been adding half a cup into my Better than Oats Light n Fit instant oatmeal. I think it tastes decadent and it's quick. Otherwise, I have my other favorite cereal, Special K Cinnamon Pecan. If I have time, I also have a piece of fruit. This morning however, I had a 3 egg white omelete with left over chicken, reduced fat cheese and guacomole that my son and I just made. I'm also going to try the guacomole in tuna, have read that tuna is great with advocadoes, so I thought I'd try it. I didn't eat breakfast for years but have found that I'm doing much better with my lifestyle change eating it, and I often work out in the morning, so I need that fuel. I also always have my cup of coffee (which I cut back from three with lots of sugar free creamer, now it's black).

English muffin with 2 tbsp peanut butter and a sliced fuji apple

Either that or a breakfast burrito made with turkey sausage or bacon, red & yellow bell pepper, onion, some low fat cheddar and 1 egg all scrambled together and wrapped in a soft taco shell topped with salsa.

Protein cake. 1 scoop protein powder, 2 tbsp. cocoa, 1 whole egg, 2 egg whites, (banana optional), stevia, and baking powder. Mix in a bowl. Microwave 2-3 minutes. Bowl of cake for breakfast.

That's my kind of breakfast...yum. Definitely trying this.

My typical breakfast is 2 scrambled eggs, 2-3 slices of Turkey Bacon and a Protein Shake, or a VitaTop Muffin and White Tea if I don't have time to cook.
