What Food Did You Eat as Child That Would Gross You Out Now?

Hey all!

Since I started the Strange Food Quirks post and got a lot of positive responses, I thought I'd introduce another topic that is similar: Childhood Foods You Would Never Eat Now.

Three of mine were:

Peanut Butter and Dill Pickle Sandwiches
A hot dog cut down the middle with melted butter poured down the center
Fluffernutter sandwiches

And you?

I used to put ketchup on my hot dogs and hated mustard. Completely opposite now.

Butter sandwiches (although I think my mom used margarine because it spread easy).
  • Kraft mac and cheese with hot dogs, spaghetti o's, all that chef boyardee stuff. Nasty!

Banana sandwiches with sugar sprinkled on top. Funny thing was, that on a diet of Jam & Bread and other "unhealthy" stuff I was extremely skinny. Used to run around a lot though.

Nothing. I can't recall anything strange that I ate back then and wouldn't be able to eat now. Never really ate anything too unusual. My folks have pics of me with poptarts smeared all over my face. XD

I agree with you about not eating what mom makes. Mine couldn't cook either. :frown:

Ketchup inside of mac n cheese.
Plain white bread with mayo and mustard on it. Nothing else.
Seriously I think I had issues with condiments.
  • Potted meat..
  • Sand and worms.
My brother talked me into weird things when I was small...

I've not tried just pasta with butter. That doesn't sound too bad, actually!

Sugar layered on white bread, then rolled up and smooshed so the bread has an entirely different texture.
Not unlike Molly Ringwald's Cap't Crunch sandwiche in The Breakfast Club.
    Totally gross.
