Has anyone heard of this diet?

It's called the eat healthy and exercise diet...it's really crazy.

I wish I had a nickel for evrytime someone asked how I've lost weight (over 30 lbs) and gave me a totally disappointed look when I said "eat right and exercise". You didn't get heavy overnight, you won't get to your goal weight overnight! There is no such thing as a quick fix!

Eat healthy, unprocessed foods (if it comes in a wrapper, it's probably not that good for you), pay attention to portions, log your food, plan/prepare your meals in advance & don't make excuses when it comes to exercise. A true lifestyle change is the only way to get healthy and stay that way.

Heard of it, just didnt see the post :)

I get that same look when I tell people I just eat clean, limit carbs [because I have to...don't hate on me], and exercise. I actually had someone ask me WHY I exercise every day. I said "because I can". Why wouldn't someone exercise. It's great!

You are a bad role model for not eating processed foods as your diary is chock full of them, your entire breakfast everything is processed except possibly the strawberries

It's only cruel if you don't allow room in your macros for some.

Well sometimes there are people with good advice and tips to get you started though. My friend lost a ton of weight and when I asked her how she told me she went on Atkins. I didn't know anything about carbs and proteins but then when I looked into it decided to switch to low carb and lost 10 lbs pretty quickly without changing anything else, and I'm still losing! All because I asked her how she lost her weight... It can be helpful.

That's great that diet and exercise work for you. I am a special snowflake and prefer to get my advice from medical professionals like Dr. Oz.

I hear ya. Last year, after dropping about 25 pounds, my mother asked me what I did. My response: I ate a little less, I ate a little healthier, and I exercised a little more.

Her response? "Oh..." And that look you described.

Note: All those things I did? I did - as I mentioned - "a little." Just those few small changes, and voila - much healthier me. I wish more people could realize that just a few relatively minor things can make a world of difference.
