    I loved King's Quest so much that I created a VGA emulation program for my amber monochrome monitor just so I could run it. King's Quest, in full amber graphical glory....ahhhh, those were the days...

    I lost a year of my life to that game, at least. I figured out how to hack it too. It was obfuscated to prevent it, but I found a way around it.

    I had graph paper and fastidiously mapped all 20(?) levels?

    I remember that!

    10 levels. I remember this because as soon as we got the teleport spell we tried to teleport to level 15 and found out we teleported into a wall.

    We then backed up slowly and figured out level 10 was as far as you go...... that was where you faced the evil Werdna.

    I may have lost a year to this game....and I got in trouble a lot because I was so addicted (Apple IIe game)
